Life is more or less back to normal now. Pip is plodding stoically on to the end of the week and half term.Half term plans include Dr appointment, bloods, and going to see Women in revolt! at the Tate. I've read up on the blurb about it and realised that I know so little about the Greenham common women (amongst a whole host of others). Suffragettes, yep, we hear about them. Plus they were in Mary Poppins! But the fights for rights since then? A deafening silence.I postponed seeing my counsellor today as it's mum's birthday and I didn't want to really talk to anyone about her. I did send my sister some daffs (thank you interflora!), which gave her a fab surprise, and we've had a lovely wotsap chat this evening.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!5

I have kinda sorta started learning to do pull ups! There's a machine in the gym that assists you, so I tried it on the heaviest assist, then up 1 and up 1 again, each for 8 reps. Came away feeling good. Then as the day went on, my upper body let me know that it had been shocked!!!

Pip has changed his legal name! Paperwork due in the next few days.We trotted to Tate Britain today for the exhibition Women in Revolt! I'm glad I read about it beforehand on the website cos I did find it all rather overwhelming in the gallery. I'm shamefully ignorant about Greenham Common women, for example. In fact, I could add every single group that was there to my lack-of-knowledge list.It was a lovely bright day and we did lots and lots of walking. Pip got the info he needed and dh had tea ready for when we got back home.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!6

Somehow a rather large shard of glass was on the hallway floor. How do I know this? Well, I trod on it and it stuck in my foot - my right heel. Ouch. It was dripping rather a lot - after I pulled it out - and Pip helped me sort it all out, with plenty of kitchen roll. And then cleaned up the puddle and drips I'd left around the place! It now throbs a lot but has mostly stopped bleeding. That's me not going anywhere for a while... I'm glad I went tot he gym and to liddle this morning. In better news, we've had a call for an appointment for Pip for their eating.Tonight is either steak or pancakes...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!4

Gosh. Hope your foot is ok.
I'd vote for steak followed by pancakes but it's probably way to late.
And hurrah for the change of name documents5 -

Thank you both. We changed the dressing this morning, but there were no Dr appointments left- I just want it checked out. So I'll call again in the morning. It's such a tricky place to protect.I can't walk properly as the cut is right on the underside of my heel. I can hobble around but I really don't like the imbalance, so I'm walking on my tippy toes. My legs are tired!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!5

bit late but the minor injuries units are worth a visit if you have one near you. My local one is 15 miles away and so worth a visit. I've had to go a few times and always feel like a VIP in there, not busy, very little waiting time and they will check injuries, dress properly and give advice. I've also had x-rays done and after a major accident they were fabulous advising which hospital to go to and why and sending all the x-rays so there would be very little waiting time.
My experience for chatting to local doctors is that minor injury units are so underused so if foot still troubling you see if you have a local minor injuries unit. (Far quicker than GP!)Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!3
