I had dental surgery a couple of days ago and am slowly starting to feel less pain and therefore less tired from it. I had an extraction, a sinus lift, bone grafting and 2 implant stem thingies put in. And 5 stitches. I have a denture to wear but i figured that getting air to it is useful, so am wearing the denture minimally. I'd had to cancel the original date, due to gut bug issues, and it had to be postponed until September. But they must've had a cancellation and I was in there 2 weeks early - yay! It gives me time to recover before the start of term.

I'm on soft food for 2 weeks. Antibiotics for a week. Steroids for 4 days. And painkillers as needed.

Pip has finished his summer job a few days early - it had been building up and I'm so proud of him for not only managing to do as much as he did, but also to realise that enough was enough and he needed to stop. He now has about 10 days to relax and recover before starting at college. I am really hoping that college will accommodate his autistic needs as well as the much more obvious mobility needs.

I've decided that I need something to look forward to, to be saving for. In 2 years, I'll turn 60 and dh 70. I want to go to Chile, specifically to the Andes. I think dh might prefer a canal boat, so I may need to persuade him! Maybe we could do both…

Oooh, Dr F-H had an extraction, a sinus lift, bone grafting and 1 implant stem. Never had any kind of issue at all ever again one it had healed. Job done, he would have it again rather than trying a silly s0dding crown again. He is terrified of dentists, it would not be his preferred way of spending an afternoon, but if he needed to again, he would immediately go and book it in. Well done you.

❤️ to Pip. Its good he knows his limits. ❤️ to all the Apple family.
