Pip had his first day of orientation/ induction today. For the paid work experience he will start next week. He was all out of spoons when I picked him up, but has had a chill evening and seems to have found a few more. I'm Iso very proud of him!

Today has involved about 3 hours of driving, a sainz shop, a workout at home, sorting the child benefit extension with the DWP online, calling the college to query two things on their letter to us, laundry, watching rugby and relaxing.

Tomorrow looks like another 3 hours of driving, a liddle visit, possibly a gym visit and watching some recorded rugby.

    Life is good 😎

I am finally on the mend after a very yukky 8 days and life is returning to what we consider normal.

I made it to the gym today for a gentle session - I love the community there. Also picked up a vntd package and popped into the dentist to reschedule the work I had to cancel last Fri cos there was no guarantee that I'd get through 2 hours of not leaving the room (Eek!).

Pip is on his 2nd week of work. He is exhausted but is learning how to look after himself better when he's there. The people who work there are all lovely and approachable and he is enjoying the work too. One of us has been taking him in and on the return leg, he's been getting one of the Superloop (ie few stops and faster) buses back halfway to where we can easily pick him up.

I find it ironic that both dh and I aren't working and Pip is!!!

Tomorrow we have an educational psychologist coming to visit. [Some people refer to them as an EP, but I call them Ed Psychs. So when I told dh that we had an Ed Psych coming to visit, he thought I meant Ed(ward) Sykes, and we were both confused! 🤣] It's about Pip's EHCP application.

So, the downstairs will get a tidy up and a hoover, in honour of Ed. I've been through all the paperwork we have about Pip's varying health conditions and they're all in a folder on my desktop to a) show Ed and b) send Ed if needed.

The package I picked up today was a lovely pair of hot pink trousers - they are utterly fabulous, dahling! I love them!

Pip didn't make it to work today. He really needed the rest and it also helped him sort out some thoughts into coherent sentences.

I felt rather deflated after the Ed Psych visit, but feel a little better today after being copied into an email she sent our caseworker requesting OT and physio assessments asap.

Took myself to the gym this morning and had a great session. I'm very near the end of the 12 week programme and I think I'm going to repeat it before moving on to the next programme. I'm confident using the machines and barbells and trap bar, etc now.
