    Best wishes for 2024, apple!

Sorry to hear about your mum - but glad that you could be there.

Has pip legally changed their name? - just thinking about exam entries/ certs. There are options possible either way, but not all EOs make that known to relevant students x

It has been really, rather slow...but fingers crossed a sprint to the finish to be commenced shortly.

I should be in the week after next.

Wotcha! Greent! Fab to hear from you. Hope all is well with your clan.
We've not legally changed the name cos Pip might yet change it again! It's not even a maybe, but the fact that he isn't certain means that we're waiting. He doesn't mind his birth name being used for dr, etc, as we always used an abbreviated form of it, and that is the name that is hated. And given that he has a separate room for exams, it's not as if the other pupils might walk past his desk and see that name.

Pip woke up with severe abdominal pain. Buscopan helped. Called 111 at 11.15 and they arranged a callback, which they said would be quite a while as they had so many calls (first day of junior dr strike). We got a call at 3.45! On their advice, we went to urgent care. Pip was in less pain, but... Anyhow, it's not the appendix, nor a UTI. But dr bloke didn't ask about cycle or anything gynaew. And I only thought to ask once we'd left. D'oh.
So, we reckon it's a burst corpus luteum, which pip's had once before. And well monitor carefully tomorrow...

Hope pip is feeling a lot better this morning.
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

And back to school we went today. Pip for mocks and me to invigilate. Not pip, of course! I had time between am and pm sessions to do a sainz shop and drop it home and eat a quick lunch.
We had a couple of snow 'storms', though they didn't settle. A couple of the gym roof windows don't close, so one poor A level kiddie had to move seats cos snow was falling on her desk 🤣. And the gym is pretty cold, so I reckon the kids will all bring their coats tomorrow, even if they don't usually wear one.
I hit over 12000 steps today- for the first time in aaages.
Pip told me that a couple of the kids had told him that I was cool and they liked me. I'm chuffed to bits!!!

    DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff.    Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.
