Ditto from me, and I hope their school isn't one of the ones affected by this aerated concrete insanity.2023: the year I get to buy a car2

Thank you ♥️. Pip had an ok day and was very happy to talk me through every single minute of it 🤣. And that is a very good thing.

A strange thing happened to me yesterday. I'd run 3 miles to the gym and done a leg workout with kettle bells. I went to seek some UHU in the £ emporium. They didn't have any. I was pretty hungry but didn't want to lose my nsd. I tried to spend and not spend at the same time! I ended up in the coop, looking at their ys stuff - mostly waay more than I'd pay for fresh at certain discount retailers - and eventually bought a big bag of kettle crisps down to £1. And scoffed them throughout the day 🤣. It wasn't really worth it.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!4

The joys of being in a food shop when hungry 😐. Can you claim you temporarily mixed up kettle chips and kettle bells?4

Still been exercising. Did 4.2 miles yesterday, so today is a gentle day. Maybe a little jog tonight while pip is at a youth group. It's for 2 hours, so I need summat to do!!!Dh said earlier today that he probably needs to send some money to my account as I'm still spending (food and fuel, nowt extravagant 🤣). So I showed him what's in my current account and said that I was hoping to not need more until the new year. Bless him for thinking about it, as it's the first time in 22 years of married life that I've not had an income.I've had a message that I've had my first donation to my justgiving page for the 10k I'm running. Happy apple.September has gone pretty well so far. I've enjoyed my exercise sessions. I've enjoyed laying in the sun in the garden, and then dipping into the paddling pool. I've also cracked on with some knitting (bodies for 3 Harry, 3 Hermione, 1 Luna, 4 Santa so far) plus 9 penguin coats. My not-so-secret goal is to complete 50 items this month. I've been 'held up' by the sunshine 🤣, but my backlog of the Vuelta, Tour of Britain and Rugby World Cup recordings are an excuse to sit and get on with stuff. I also have an audiobook on the go, for in the car.No news of that concrete at pip's school. I think it was built later, when it moved to its current site.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!4

I blithely set out on a run this morning, aiming for around 5 miles. I ended up doing 5.5 as I got a bit lost! But I did discover a very useful few bridleways. However, around the 5 mile mark, I fell over. Sigh. On a gravelly bit. Ouch. My right side took the brunt of it (ankle, knee, thigh, hip, hand, elbow and especially shoulder) but my left side was not one for being left out so my left hand and knee also joined in. I am so so grateful I was wearing my thin nylon jacket as I think my right arm would have been rather shredded otherwise.I'm ok - I called dh to get him to run me a bath as I made my way home, and I did a lot of stretching while I waited for it to cool down enough to get in it. Currently, it's the nettle strings and scratches I got from brambles that are the loudest painful areas
. I think the stiffness and aches will arrive tomorrow.
I'm confident that I'll make it round the 6.25 miles on flat surfaces next Sunday! And I've had a couple of donations on my justgiving page, which is fab.I currently have Ireland v Tonga rugby on the telly (yay! to recordings) and am about to browse free patterns of hedgehogs and wrist warmers. Pip is at school, dh is out, lunch is waiting for me in the kitchen when I feel like it.Life is goodNST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!6 -
Oooooh apple that must have hurt, you poor thing! As a huge rugby fan myself I often wonder how the guys and gals manage to take such huge hits and still get up and on with it as though nothing has happened to them. Glad you had a lovely bath awaiting you xx2

Thank you everyone ♥️.I have had a super quiet day and am not as achey as I'd expected, though my knees aren't happy with me. Well, they'll get over their grump soon enough.... I am now slightly more elegant in getting up off the floor. I think I might use October to focus on joint mobility...Today it has rained. And rained. And rained a bit more. I'm happy not to live on a flood plain or at a river mouth.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!2
