Done the emails task, washed up, and curried parsnip soup is bubbling away.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0

Did my workout first thing - ZWOW 40 2x: 15 5kDB squat jumps; 20 reverse lunge with woodchop; 10 side burpee with leg raise; 20 DB sit up with russian twist. Took me 12m03, so not too shabby!
I have also gone beyond 15,000 steps today :T.
Have added up all my £1 allocations for NSD, 10k steps, workout, 10 veggies, sugar-free and I owe the pot £14.
Spent more in aldee than I'd thought I would, but receipt analysis brought about £11 'extra' to light. Fireworks and 4x wrapping paper mostly! But they had FROZEN wrapping paper :j that doesn't seem to mention Christmas, so we can use it for birthday! And dd was very happy with the disnee princess paper we let her see, anyway!
Craft-wise, not only have I stuffed 4 legs and 6 arms, I have sewn 4 ears, 2 bodies and several limbs. Go me! Once these bits are all assembled, I think I may only have 1 bunny left to make for Christmas. Surely not, eh?
Aha! Have just remembered that I was going to use dd's 2' plastic Cmas tree on the stall! Good centrepiece AND great for hanging the decorations I wish to sell on! Must remember to remember it in 3 weeks' time!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Keeping grain and sugar-free!
Enjoyed the sunshine doing my break duty outside. I look soooo cool in my sunglasses and cap! A lovely colleague popped out and on discovering that my usual duty partner was away, stayed out there with me.
Had a daft realisation today: for dd's party, yes, I need £130 in cash for on the day. However, where did I think the £120 I've already 'paid' on the credit card was magically going to appear from?! So, I've already paid it off, and will now 're-pay' that amount using the £1s gained from NSDs, etc. Getting 130 in 75 days was reasonable. Now it's just got more of a challenge!
Tomorrow I may venture into liddle... Am feeling brave! (am an aldee devotee). A leaflet came through the door today, extolling the greatness of aldee. And it had 4x £5 off a £40 spend vouchers. :j Can see me using them! 2 couples we give presents to are hard to buy for, so I may do a 'goodie' hamper using aldee bits...
Tomorrow should see me getting specs that improve my vision with the right prescription... Will take the opportunity to buy 2 more fleecey throws, coconut oil (with 1/2 price coupon), and mooch.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Got a workout and shower done before dd needed waking, and am heading for over 13k steps.
Got my new specs, and mooched round some shops. Dangerous habit! Seem to have spend rather a lot for me, and 'spending rather a lot' seems to be becoming more frequent. Hmmm. Nov is a month where I just can't overspend!
So, what did I buy? 2 more fleeces for door and window - thought primarni had sold out, but on my third walk round the displays, I spotted them - phew. £12 gone Also got some coconut oil for half price, so £5 to TT to my % fund. Claire's got £6.50 of my money - needed for dd's hair for her ballet exam. Grrr. Resent paying that much despite being able to use a 3 for 2 offer. £1.50 to TT. Bookworld got about £11 for a Thomas annual for a bday in Dec, a FROZEN book of the film for dd's bday and a craft book for me that turned out to be rubbish - it has none of the promised templates in it - double grrr. Waste of pennies.
Dh is preparing our fireworks - gotta go see them!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Ugh - what a night!
Dd has a rotten cough that gets much worse at night, and last night was no exception. She did get off to sleep quickly for her, but at 10pm was coughing so much that she was sick. She's not done that in a long time! Most of it went down her neck and back - yuk! So I cleaned her up with flannels, put on a fresh vest and top, and she slept in with us. At least, she slept and coughed. We were stoics!
Dh and I both have tight, achey shoulders and neck (although I reckon mine is mostly caused by yesterday's workout... Burpee, air squat, strict mountain climber and clapping push up). But dh has a busy day - there's an 'open mike' session at church tonight and he'll be there from 1pm latest, doing the PA. And he'll be home super late as once it's finished, he'll have to set up the system for the Sunday service - which he's also doing!
Dd isn't going to tap and ballet. The poor mite isn't up to it, and I don't think the other kiddies should share the germs! Shame, as the next class is her exam, so I hope she doesn't miss anything important... Well, it's tough if she does. She had the extra class last week, so should be ready.
Tomorrow, I'm on kids klub, so dd had better be well enough to come along, as there'll be no-one home to look after her!! She usually wants to go, so it should be ok.
THE RUGBY IS ON THE TELLY TODAY - 2 MATCHES - yay!!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Wales v Australia is a cracker to watch. 42 points scored in the first half, only 6 so far in 23 mins of the 2nd half.
I've just read a brilliant idea on another thread, for a staffroom: a hamper of hot choc, teabags and cookies. I'll do that for dd's school, and it will help me reach the £40 limit to use the aldee voucher this week.
Dd and I haven't done much today! She is a poorly pumpkin who hasn't stopped coughing all day.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Well, having though dd dropped off to sleep super quickly at 6pm ish, I was sooooo wrong! I got up to make room in the back bedroom to pit the futon down and make up the bed for dh and a little voicw started talking to me! She is dtill awake amd struggling to drop off, with all the snot and coighing.
Food was fine again. Kept off potatoes! Dh has been out since 1pm and shou.d rrturn tonight...
A supremely imactive day!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -

Your mortgage is teeeny now! When do you hope/plan to pay it off?
We should be MF by this time next year - possibly a month or 2 earlier if I can squeeze the funds!
Poor DD - it's horrible when they're like thatOur youngest has a bad cough atm and keeps coughing so much he retches - but is only bringing up large amounts of mucus, not actually vomiting. Hope DD is well enough for kids klub tomorrow xx

Thanks for popping by greent - hope your youngest improves quickly.
Dh says he rolled in at about 12.30! Dd woke me at 4.30 telling me she was hungry (?!) and asking what time it was. In the end she drank some water, had some medicine and coughed back to sleep. Then from 7ish was asking me what time it was and handing me her used tissues. Lovely!
So, dd isn't fit for kids klub at all. Still has a temp, oodles of snot, a cough that now makes her tummy muscles hurt and no apetite. Will have to work out what to do with her tomorrow...
Today will not be a NSD as dd has used up nearly all the balm tissues, and since I am sure to catch the lurgi too, we'll definitely need some more. Once dh is home, I'll pop up to aldee and sains, get what we need, then use the sains voucher o ly £2 off £20, but with vitamin 'sweets' for dd and gf breadstcks and bread, I'll make the minimum amount. If Idon't I can always add in coffee!
Enough wittering!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Dh tells me that our energy consumption is low at the mo. I'm v happy with that! So today, I have the heating on, but at 17 degrees. Dd has a temp so doesn't need warmth! I've done a marathon oven-using session (for me, anyway) so that has thrown out some heat.
I offered dd a cake like Robbie Rotten had - lots of layers and cream. She said yes, so off I pottered to make it. Turns out she doesn't like the cream! We had no squirty cream so I used whipping cream with icing sugar in it. Fortunately, I only made 1 slice with cream, so she then had plain cake.
Seeing as the oven was on and the chicken thighs needed cooking, they then went in in a thai sauce.
Then I researched a primal cheesecake, which is still baking. Not sure it'll work!
But the reason for saying all of the above is that I had the ingredients for all of them already! Am quietly impressed with myself.
I do still need to go out later for tissues, milk and eggs (have got through 7 so far - only 1 left). But have decided not to do sains.
TT of £2 takes my % up by 1 :T.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0
