I think it's also stubbornness, karma! I'm coping fine with the place (and most of the people - I really do not see many adults if I can help it). And part of me wants to be paid for the long summer break. And to get the benefit of extra free time when the y11 and 13 leave in May. It's like carrying a secret that makes you smile and feel smug that 'this is the last time I'll have to do x/y/z...'.

Been doing ponderations and having ideas for the next academic year. Instead of teaching. Invigilator stuff; exam board marking; my crafting; tutoring; offering craft sessions via my school PTA... It's good to have ideas.
Pip had a meltdown this morning. It had been brewing yesterday but appeared at about 6.50am! Amazingly, they managed to go to school, but I insisted they'd come home at lunchtime. Which they agreed to. And this afternoon, they just flopped. I've also made the decision that they will go in late tomorrow (but hopefully get some art work done beforehand), missing PE. They do enough sport anyway, and the extra 75 mins sleep will be more use to them.
I have a table top sale on Sat. I'm treating it like a craft fair/Christmas fair. Just to see what I can sell!

Sleep is good for growing bodies :)

With your craft work, do check prices across the board, and check profit margins and your "hourly rate" too.

Thanks, karma. My crafting will never be worth much per hour as the punters wouldn't pay even £5 per hour...
Pip is excited because they get the climbing email and they keep an eye on jobs. Although there aren't any at our centre (yet!), Pip now has an idea of the hourly pay.
Another week done. This one included going in yesterday for a parents evening which went v well, but they are always tiring.

Well, very poor advertising/publicity meant that very few punters came through the door. I took £42 and the table cost me £10. So okay but not great.
However, I did spend £60 on a bundle of Sylvanian families stuff for pip. They have chosen what they wish to keep, and we'll sell the rest. Hopefully...

A change of routine for a Monday. Go me! Instead of school drop off then straight to liddle and the gym, I came home first and did the required school work and then I went out. And it has worked much better as I don't have it hanging over me all day. I have had a leisurely lunch, a long soak and scrub in the bath. And nipped to pip's school as I had an urgent email as they'd forgotten their copy of Picnic.
Now I have an hour to knit before heading out again to collect pip - coming straight home to do art work today.
Weather is pants. Dripping pants. I am now spinning the washing for an extra go, to get out as much moisture as possible.
Dh said this morning that he thinks we should be careful what we spend :D:D:D And that I should try to sell on the Syl fam stuff sooner rather than later. This comes from the man who has a non-functioning triumph spitfire taking up the garage...! I do agree with him though, but that won't prevent us buying what pip needs

We are not going out tonight. Whoop whoop!!! I made the decision that Pip is just too tired and the resulting tiredness from going out would wreck the week leading to more stress and anxiety and meltdown, blah, blah, blah. I have discussed the current hwk situation with pip and we are going to tackle classical civilisation first. Ye gods! And all that.
I sent my apologies for today's after school meeting, saying that I was needed at home (true). I really did not fancy going in this morning (again) but I had a fab day. Yay. Maybe the meh-ness is due to having to cut back on my happy pills as I put the repeat request in rather late and the the weekend happened, so I cut down by taking the last 3 pills in the pack on alternating days. But I'm back on them daily now, which might help.

Pip woke up in their top bunk this morning, which is a mystery to us all as to how they arrived there!!! But it got the day off to a good start.
Last night, Pip completed 3 pieces of work plus did some art. They went to bed on a high of happiness!
This morning, I've done a load of laundry, an aldee shop, and two gym classes o:) Power pump followed by yoga.

In my aldee shop, I bought some smoked salmon - we like to have it with scrambled egg on Cmas day. And lots of chocolate bars! I buy the 4 or 5 pack ones and divvy them up and put a ribbon round them as little gifts for people at work. They seem to go down well, and don't cost too much in the end.
I'm organising the school secret santa again.
Found a fab job for next year - one year contract, 3 days a week, teaching French and Spanish and German to primary age kiddies. However, it is too far away and next year, when pip is in y11, is not the time to be out of the house more! Shame, but good to know there are jobs like that out there...
