Glad today is done. Just tomorrow to go, and that should go ok.
Only a little marking done today. And some marking admin stuff. Always marking admin stuff!
Sorting things at work seems to have ground to a halt, which is quite frustrating. I have had to spend a lot of time sorting out exam papers and with various new joiners with varying levels of French, they each need a personalised set of papers. It's all done now though. Maybe tomorrow I can do more sorting and clearing and filing and bringing order from chaos... Maybe...

Good grief, personalised papers?  That's an absolute *ton* of work!  Good luck with it all.

Yep. It is ridiculous, karma! But when the school takes on new pupils who have never done your language, you can't make them do the same as the others. I've used it as an opportunity to chat with the pupils it concerns so that they feel cared for.
Saw my GP at 9. He's sent my prescription for happy pills (or, at least, less sad pills) to the chemist for me.
Dh is a star. There are train strikes in June which meant that all tickets to Mancunia disappeared. I was dispairing. Gooogle said the bike ride would be about 20 hours 😂😂😂. Dh used the Tickety split thingy and I'm now on a non-direct route, changing at Doncaster both times. But at least I have a ticket!!! Out from Kings X, back via Euston.
Pip and I are both home. I went to pick them up 5 1/2 hours earlier than planned. They're going to go and lie down soon.
I got interrupted at the gym to collect pip, so I need to wash and change and settle to it.

Pip has 20 and I have 12, I think. I'm going to distance myself much more from my work next year - well, that is the plan - for my own MH and sanity. And I'll be there for just 2 days instead of 3, although I have yet to be told how many days they want to spread me out over...
Pip had a good afternoon - just chilling in their room. Ate usual amounts. Was fairly chatty. They can lie in until about 8.30 tomorrow (bouldering) and then as long as they want to on Sunday as they are not going anywhere. GP suggested berocca (sp?)- one with lots of B vits. That stuff is not cheap! Got it in sainz so if pip likes it, we'll try to source it elsewhere. And if our consultant puts in writing that he thinks pip should have melatonin (to help with sleeping) then our GP is happy to prescribe it. Result.
Pip's dance classes are at a different venue tomorrow - at my gym. Yay! So I'll forego the gym while they boulder and go instead while they dance.
Which means that I can use the morning time to mark. Yawn. My tolerance levels are really low this year. Just 2 and then I'm fidgeting for a break. I love the teachers who are brisker and don't feel the need to use up the whole 7 mins (or more cos some are twits and don't follow the rules) on the final part of the test. And I simply adore the ones who administer the tests correctly. As they should. And don't disadvantage their pupils.
I think that I have put 83/200 on the system. And have done about 31/107 of a humungous centre. This elephant is definitely being eaten one small bite at a time.
I have some admin to send off tomorrow so will combine that with a visit to the chemist for my magic pills. Bless my GP - he even did research for me to see about the amount of time to allow for weaning off St John's Wort before starting them. I'll let him know how it goes, so he can talk about it with confidence thereafter :D:smiley:
Right. Time to stop wittering on and go and see how ready for bed pip is.

Re the sorting and filing frustration at work, I spent a happy 30-40 mins yesterday, just scanning and emailing to myself (well, the photocopier did it all really, i just fed in my email address each time and put the papers in the top feeder slot) about a dozen folders/files of stuff we have in hard copy. Satisfying.

DD2 has melatonin (of ages with your youngster I think). She finds they help a bit.
