So, after a very busy people-filled and thoroughly enjoyable weekend, DC was not fit for school today and stayed home with dh. We've just had a letter from the sch saying they are closing a day early, ie tomorrow, due to growing numbers of infections in the school. And then, if anyone does test +ve, they have 10 days until cmas. Good idea. Dc is willing themself to be fit for tomorrow.Whereas my place have hardly been touched by covid and its business as usual!Did a lesson obs + interview today for the replacement teacher. They were good! And the head thought so too. Phew.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!3

Term is over. It ended really nicely. I went in late (DC had a rearranged ortho appt) and had some lovely chats with pupils and staff. The lunch was yummy and the room wasn't its usual loud, raucous and awful self. Phew. I sat by the outside doors- and we just kept them open. I'd rather be chilly and well than warm and sharing germs...And because it all finished nice and early, I went to the gym. On a full stomach. So I kind of took it easy. But didn't really! Did some stuff with a 20kg kettle bell and realised that that is about the amount of weight I could do with losing. Yikes.I have brought home so many resources in case we don't go back. Who knows what Boris will decide at the 11th hour... Sigh.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!3

Well he managed a name for that baby. I am sure that is enough for one day.More worrying is the news France will close the borders to unnecessary travel from UK tomorrow - and that includes through traffic (not hauliers though).
Glad you got to the end of term - mine finish at lunchtime tomorrow, although most of the schools round here stopped today.Enjoy your break. You deserve it. Chill.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

DC, who finished two whole days before me, was saying that they wanted to go and buy some non-ripped skinny black jeans. Tomorrow morning. Which meant as soon as shops open, cos I know DC won't cope with crowds and loud people. But then they told me that they don't want to, because they are still tired and will manage without.Phew.Tomorrow needs to be a tidying and clearing and getting some stuff out of the house kind of a day. In the morning, anyway. After that it gets rather busy...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!4

That worked out well then
Good luck with all the cleaning and tidying tomorrow.

Yeah, not much cleaning and tidying done. Oops. Just few mins of me and dc putting away a total of about 10 things. A drop in the ocean! And a job rolled over for the morrow. We all had to go and look at our future piano as it has a broken foot. But it is just sooo much nicer than the other one that we're sticking with it.The other one is very plinky plonk. Our one has soul. The rest of the day ended up pretty chilled despite being busy. Took dc to visit a friend and the mum was out dog walking and had totally forgotten about us 😆. The kids let us in and it was pretty awkward until mum returned and then it went much better. We were only staying for an hour and dc handled it all really well. And, more importantly, didn't come home totally wiped out. Result. We also had a very long video call with the clin psych, which I think went well and we'll be doing the next step next month. It was all very positive and although she didn't come out and say ' yes, your child is x', she did talk as if that was the case. Another result.Tomorrow: get to liddle and the gym as early as opening times allow (8am). Frantically clear space /pathway for piano. Wait for piano delivery. Big sis is also arriving. Dance is cancelled as teacher has that lurgi. And poor dh has to go to church at some point, cos the whole PA system is kaput. Non-functioning. Zilch. Sigh. But he can't go unless we have a piano already here, or a kinda fixed delivery time... I ain't supervising on my tod.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!3

We have a piano 🎹🎹🎹🎹. It is rather large! The delivery blokes were simply wonderful and got it in through the front and wiggled it into place, broken foot an' all.Dc had first go on it.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!2
