I was up and at the gym first thing. Not mega early, though as it only opens at 8. Then dropped some garden waste in the tip. Home for breakfast and then took dc to the fair down the road. I am proud that I didn't need pushing out of the mud as I drove over the field 😎. I reckon I spent just under £30. All worth it. Both dc and I found items for people for cmas.
After lunch, dc said they didn't want to go to dance, so I took them out to drop off 2 bags at the Sally Army (and bought a posh skip rope for me and a spider shaped tea light holder for dh - he is so scared of spiders!) and a load of books at 0xfam. Dc wanted to pop into L0rimer's and we found some really thin brushes they had on their list.
The laundry got done and the canes got mostly chopped.
However, the marking/reports just ain't happening.
I did join in a crafternoon with big sis and friends, and cut out all the bits for my Robin Robin, courtesy of the Rad1o t1mes pattern. What I love is that it now only really needs glueing!!! But who designed a robin with EARS????
Dh had nipped to the charity furniture shop that people rave about, but didn't find any drawers. Instead he found 2 pianos for £40. Bargain! The cost of delivery is also £40 but I reckon a piano for £80 is worth it. That's my cmas present sorted, so long as he sorts it!

It is cheaper than the keyboard I just bought DS4!   I will get him a piano if he continues with it, and the extension gets built.

I now have 5 Robin Robin ready for my sch fair on Fri. I've also finished off 6 hanging thick felt reindeer. The only other thing I'll make is some coloured needle felted penguins. And acorn capped snowmen, once I find my acorn cups!
One of the things I bought at the fair today was a Kenya-style covered notebook for mum. That's the best way to describe it! She visited Kenya several times and although I don't think she'll remember going at all, she'll still appreciate the notebook and the cover will be a nice thing to keep rediscovering. Unless of course she bins it, cos it's not hers...! But at least I'm happy, having found her a proper present.

She might remember it, apple, my mum and I have both been to our rellies in Zimbabwe separately, and the visuals were very strong for both of us.  But yes, even if she doesn't remember, it's a nice present in it's own right.

Robins with ears ... love that.

Well, DC fell off the cliff edge (metaphorically, not got any real ones in suburbia...) last night. Well see how she is this morning...
I have reports+ marking; they have hwk. A heady cocktail of anxiety...

Well, DC still wanted to go to church - a different one, a couple of friends go there and DC does enjoy the youth sessions. So off we trotted. It was a long one,so only just back and fed.
I got DC to check on the hwk status this morning, as last night they said they had 9. Turns out most were class work tasks that hadn't been checked off. So only 3 to do, all due Friday. Plus a bio test we've still not done from aaaages ago.

More +ve tests in DC's year group... DC stil -ve.
    Bio test done.
Had pc troubles this afternoon as I tried to write up my reports. Ended up with me escaping upstairs with my tech and paperwork to get it done.  Also marked y13 essays. Can't face speakings yet...
I have an expanding knot of anxiety in my chest. Sigh. 8 days of At JW done so far. They do taste very ' herbally' if I don't swallow them quickly.

You are doing amazingly well, considering all the stuff you have no control over at all.  Self care is a necessity right now.
