Dc/ pip (love it!!) has had up and down days. And portions of days. One small bit of socialising with just one person for a short time wipes them out for over a day. No idea how we'll cope with school...
That wipeout feeling is how the chronic fatigue makes me feel.  I was with my sister and her adult daughter, we had a lovely time, lot of fun, and I felt like I'd been through a war, and my brain had dribbled down to my feet.  Still feeling it.  My sympathies to anyone in dc's scenario, needing to cope with external "shoulds" like school.

  • Another yikes! Feeling a little bit overwhelmed, so here goes a brain dump:
Today is Thursday and I go back to work on Tues as an extra day (CPD and not easy to catch up on,so simpler just to go in), so will have 3 consecutive days. Hopefully new teacher will be there on Tues, so I'll need to sort out admin, email, passwords for her. Dc starts back on my 3rd day, so they'll have 2 days just with dh. I still have a fair amount of prep to do. Including some training for A level marking which needs several hours straight. Big sis and niece arrive for 24 hours on Sun afternoon. Dc is bouldering sun morn, but there's no church (phew). Mon morn, dc has an optician's appointment.
The hairdresser is due any minute now. Dc if off ice skating later so some ferrying around to do.
Next door's washing machine is bust so we're doing their washing and their old doggy keeps peeing on the sofa, on the dog bed covers, everywhere but outside it seems. So plenty to wash!
Having written that down, it's not so bad. It does cover 5 days. But condenses into just a few hours in my head!!!

Good grief!  I'm not really surprised you needed to write all that lot down.  You're good at combining things you need to do, but it sounds a lot to me.  Take care :)

You're very welcome :)  and how wonderful to hear that the training is actually useful, that's so rare in my experience.  Really good.

Like you, I had a mid-late afternoon walk to see people's lights - I went out at 4, it was excellent.  Rainy, though :)

I finished the online training while dc bouldered away. And downloaded all the resources with it, so can easily refer back to them.
We're now enjoying the WSM final. So I guess that counts as' useful'.
