So, after a good night all round, we were all up early. It was very odd to have other people around at an hour when it is usually only me!!Work went well and I started The great Train robbery -St Trinian's of course - in my lunchtime film club.Dd is out to ballet tonight so I'll walk/waddle round the small park opposite. Currently just over 6000 steps, so we'll see what I can reach...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!3

I have watched a few utube videos recently, where people have done a treadmill challenge by Lauren Giraldo - walk for 30 mins at 3mph at a 12% incline. Every day for a month (or a week or two) Some have had amaaaazing results. So recently, I have tried my own version, adding it on to a gym session. And the most I have managed is 20 mins! Some of the vids show the people holding on to the hand rails and I can vouch that that makes it so much easier (I only hold on when I take my pulse, and the difference is very notable). Also, how on earth do they finish the workout and not look like a tomato???I have also watched some vids where people have done 15000 or 20000 or even 25000 steps per day for a week. Again, usually great results. And this has spurred me on to increase my steps. So, after all that waffle, I have set myself a challenge for the next week, starting today as it's a non-work day, so I can get off to a good startI used the boditrax machine at the gym to get all the stats done, and will use it again next Tuesday.I'll still do my usual workouts.(Tues, Thurs, Fri + maybe one other)I'll aim for 20000 steps each day. (Yikes... I am sorely tempted to say 15000 instead, but want it to be challenging; however, those who did 25k said that it took about 4 hours of their day and I don't have that much spare time, esp when working!)I'll track all I eat (I usually do this anyway, but it's easy to get a bit lax) and keep it to 2000kcal.So far today, I have done a longish walk back home after dropping dd at school and popping to sainz, and a gym session with 20 mins walking, and I'm on 10.800. yay! over halfway!!!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!5

Well, I avoided the pub all together, as dd wanted to go to the early evening youth event too, so I had to get back for as near 5pm as poss, to then take her out. And it was a Friday of a BHol, so plenty of other people were using my roads...Today has been a good day. It started with a good strong coffee, which took me to the gym for a great session. Breakfast, washing, hwk, lunches, and out to dance with dd. 1 bag to the Sally army and nowt bought from the 5 ch shops I went in to. Home and found a hat pattern that dd likes, to make her a hat with wool from the £ shop in her fave colour - reckon it'll take me quite a while to complete (as in prob done by winter...) as I intend protecting my hands and not overdoing it... An evening walk with dd where she took a load of photos.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!5

Sigh.Just lost a really good post 😎. In summary:A week ago I annouñced my intention to walk 20,000 steps each day for a week, to use the boditrax machine to track my body, to log all food and to still do my usual workouts. The wins: I did the workouts plus an extra one on the bank holiday; I used the body tracking machine; I logged most of my food. The not-quite-such-a-win: I didn't make it to 20,000 steps on any day. Oops. But my week's total was 99,406. (If I'd kept a closer eye on it, I would no doubt have done those extra 600 to reach 100,000...) It averages out at 14,200 per day. I'm satisfied with that.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!5

Who put the week on double speed, eh? It has flown by!Today I scored a good lidl box with lots of apples and satsumas, grapes (a small bunch of green, with 2 black ones rolling around in the box!), flat peaches, 2 shallots, lots of tiny different coloured tomatoes, red + orange long peppers, two bunches of spring onions, a small cauli.I also had my 2nd jab.I also did over 20,000 steps 😎And most of my marking. And a load of laundry. And a sainz shop.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!4
