The only danger the weeds are in at the mo comes fom drowning...!Yoga day 4 done.2 bigbags of books taken to 0xfam.3 carrier bags of undonateable sch clothing from lost property taken to a clothes bin.Fruit + veg bought from mobile greengrocer. The bit of flat roof has leaked and the 'old' damp patch has been renewed and expanded. Dh has taken that as his cue to put the heating on. Yikes. It is August!Anyhow, the Tour starts later, and the ladies stage round Nice is on first, so all is well.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!4

Le Tour continues to make everything okay
They sure are having some grotty wet weather out there...
Nipped to the gym this morning and didn't feel too worn out by the workout. Was planning to do day 6 of Yoga at home, but was suddenly all pooped once I got back! Might do it later on, as it means 1 less day to try to fit in in Sept... Though that's not the point of yoga, really, is it?Dd is loving her skateboard. Now that she has finished going over all her school subjects, she has unlimited access to it and is a happy bunny. She really really wants me to have a go on it. I hospitalised myself, aged about 8/9, trying a friend's skateboard, so no way am I getting on one now... And with 2 dodgy ankles and swollen knees, it just wouldn't be a good idea!Caught up with an old friend today - she returned the baby sling that I'd loaned her about 4 years ago! It was one that my sister passed on to me, so it is special. It was lovely to chat and we've agreed to try it again once the kids are back out at school. We both liked the idea of a walk-and-talk-with-a-coffee style of meet-up.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!3 -
Sounding good, apple! I hope it all goes smoothly this week.

I have re-homed 3 lavender plants that were just not really liking where they were. They can't do any worse where I've moved them to... Still got plans for other plants - gooseberry bushes, strawb plants, phloxes, the big pink-flowering bush in the front, rosemary plant. And digging up the potatoes, moving the 'mini-greenhouse', pruning the apple trees... Once you start, there seems to be no end...And I did yoga day 5. What's nice is that I don't need to do a warm up or take a shower afterwards. I can just do it and it's finished. Now watching a percy jackson film, with dd doing a running commentary on how different it is from the book, and how bad it is...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!3

Dd has had her 2nd (and last) tooth removed today. Recovery is slower than last time - it is still bleeding a little even now, 4 hours later, but she is handling it well. I don't expect her to eat anything until tomorrow... At least she is not back at school until Thursday.Dh has extra work so was out by 8. He should roll through the door soonish...I got myself to the gym for 6.40, and did day 7/30 of yoga after lunch. Which was a yummy carrot and ginger soup using hm chicken stock. Slurp! I'll add more garlic next time...Le Tour is on in the background and I have a ton of docs/policies to read through for work. We have a declaration to sign to say that we've read them all, and although it would be easy to cheat the system, I just couldn't do that!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!2

Poor little DD, hope she feels better soon - extractions really aren't nice.Because of what you've written about the Tour, I've taped the next set of highlights coming up
I remember seeing it live when it went through Brighton, up a humongous hill, it was great.

I knew dd was recovering when she went outside to play and took her skateboard
. And she has had a decent tea and evening snack, so that is better than I was anticipating.
I got all the documents read and even spotted a couple of small things to query.
Tomorrow I return to work. Ugh. But it is all online meetings.Yay. And only starts at 10.15. Yay. So no need to get dressed yet. Yay. Tho' there is some online training to do too which somehow always takes longer than the allocated time... Anyhow, it is an easing back in to the job. And I am sooo glad I got all my planning done early.

I ended the morning with a tech-headache after a 2 hour long meeting... So took a longish lunch so as to have time with dd, and then the pm meeting was much easier to handle. Got my online training done - dd has taught me how to watch videos on 'fast' (1.25, 1.5 or 2x faster) for which I'm very grateful.I do have rather a heavy couple of bagfuls of stuff to take in tomorrow, as it includes my laptop. Ideally, I'd love to get all my photocopying done first thing before anyone else wants the copier... And having the laptop should mean that I can work in the same room as my French colleague and we can get stuff done more speedily.I may be mad, but I'll be wearing my gym kit on my top half, and taking my shorts to change into, with the hope that the final 'departmental' session can be done at home, so I can leave early and hit the gym...Dd has her firstnd ay back tomorrow and dh will have his 3rd of 4 full days at work too. So don't nobody mess with us tomorrow evening...!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!2

Ooph.Pooped.Did a 12 min yoga session before waking and feeding dd. Managed to get a little photocopying done at work before a meeting. Then it was solid, full on. However, I did get a lot of things on my list completed and the re-written list is much, much shorter. I brought things home to do but my brain is refusing to be coherent...I left quickly after the last meeting and went to the gym for a hard sweaty session. Then did a medium-sized liddle shop. And then made it home. And flopped.Dd has had a good day - phew. She is quite full of beans.Dh has been really busy and is also pooped.I bought some pillows from liddle and would love to try them out.Now.Please...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!3

Dh bought a free-standing thermostat thingy, as he didn't believe that the one installed (when we had the boiler replaced) was telling the truth and that is was reading too high.At 6.15 todsy, the boiler one read 20.4 and the new one read 21.4. Ha! It reads higher!!!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!3
