At 5.20pm on Friday, a filling came out. What timing. Sigh. I am so glad that it doesn't hurt as I can't even contact the dentist until Monday morning when I'll already be at work... I'm hoping they can sort me out on Tuesday when I don't have to work...Did my workout + yoga at home today, and enjoyed them. And 2 loads of laundry. And lots of le Tour.My neighbour borrowed a fork and spade and dug over her side at the front - it's only about 15" deep and a couple of metres wide, but gets full of weeds quickly - so I helped and then got all galvanised to sort out 3 more lavender plants to go in there. The mobile greengrocer is still coming on a sat, so I'm still going and buying some f+v from them.Dd has had her first skateboarding injury! I hadn't realised that the top of the board is rough like sandpaper. She jumped off it and it ran into the back of her ankle/leg and scraped her. So, not too bad for a 1st one! My first skateboarding injury - aged about 9 or 10 - hospitalised me!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!2

Feeling surprisingly overwhelmed some times at the mo. So am just doing the minimum and trying to do 1 thing at a time, no multitasking. It will pass. Prioritising dd stuff and work.Got myself a dentist appt - for 10 days' time! Yikes - glad it doesn't hurt and I simply need to keep it clean.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!2

I am glad that my working week is done. It is exhausting, having all the social contact - not with adults, but with the pupils. However, I am enjoying it so far... Well, it's easy to say that when the week is over...I have somehow managed to sort out dd's swim lessons. I was having all sorts of issues with the portal (sounds like time travel!) and it wouldn't recognise my email to reset the password. The leisure centre couldn't help as they had had no training with the portal, but they tried everything and then gave me the manager's email, which was lovely. Anyhow, when I went to the gym the next day, they had another fiddle with the computer and discovered that dd is in fact in the class she wanted! So bizarre. And the day and time suit us well - basically it doesn't clash with the day when she has a PE swim class as school - phew. And if I book it, I can go to the gym while she swimsSo, on my 2 full working days, dd then has an evening club; and on my 2 days off, she has an early morning clubNST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!2

Today makes it 19 years of marriage! Go us! Due to work stuff, we'll go out for a coffee on Friday...!I have had my first counselling session of the new year, which went well, as ever. Still on skype but that's ok.Also took myself to the gym for a good sesh and did some yoga when I got home.On a Monday, I have great expectations for Tuesday. Then Tuesday arrives and I have very little motivation to do things. Weird...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!1

Why, thank you!Walked to and from dd's sch at the end of the day. I had a shower just before leaving and had dry hair 30 mins later! It was beautifully murky and misty/foggy this morning before it burned off, so it felt properly autumnal.School year groups seem to be dropping all over the place... As a teacher, I can handle (I think!) a year group all being at home for lessons and me in school; or me being at home and them all at school; or all of us being at home. What is so decidedly tricky is when just one or two need to isolate and still need their lessons... It doubles the workload... The y11 + 13 are already speculating about how they would/might end up getting their grades next summer... I've told them that govt say schools will be the last thing to shut, and that they are the priority for keeping them in school as much as possible. And that I'm working on keeping things as normal as poss, assuming they'll do summer exams, and prepping them for that. They do like to divert the lesson with a good session of 'what if's...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!2

I really don't think a 2 week 'circuit breaker' will be much use...I hope I'm wrong...A testing centre has been erected just in front of my gym. I have seen 1 person using it in my 3 visits up there this week...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!1

5 workers standing around in the test centre this morning... all by themselves...Anyhow, a good start to the weekend: woke up naturally; woke dd but she stayed in bed and snoozed; I went to the gym for a weights session + bike; came home and did yoga; showered (much needed by now!); went with dd to the mobile veg man down the road; also got a wash done and had breakfast.Dd has dance lessons 1-2 and then is going skateboarding with a friend at 3. I'll need to ensure I have a lot to read/do...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!1
