The day went well, methinks. Until 6pm...

Dh came home for lunch because he had a z00m meeting for church. Then he stayed to do the keep fit class at work, then did his usual work.

Dd had a really good day. Until 6pm. When a deluge of work to be done / should have been done appeared. English. Unfinished chemistry. German forgotten about. Unfinished Spanish. None of them small tasks either. None of them set last minute, but when the majority of your recent hwks have been short and sweet, to get a raft of full-on extra-time-needed ones is stressful... English got finished - phew. German is half done...

And as I sat with her doing her work, I realised that I'd not prepped the lesson emails to send first thing tomorrow...

We don't know what time the boilermen are coming, but I am assuming 8am. So we'll set dd up in the study rather than try to move her part-way through a class. And feed her early. Spanish to finish before school starts at 8.30. German to do at breaktime.

I'll defo need to exercise first thing! Just warm up + CT + 5-min + cool down I think.

And after that brain dump, I shall go and read a book and try to relax...

Not the most restful of nights, but that is behind me now. Dd is installed in the study and the boilermen are here. I am sat on my bed 'working' and dh is ousted to being downstairs to work. Like musical chairs....

Did a CT w/o and zuzka's 5 min #5 one. They kicked my butt!!!

Dd had to do pilates during form time - she wasn't impressed... Ballet + tap after school, then whole-family taekwondo soon after that. She'll be wiped out...

I was the only one who did tkd in the end. It kicked my butt too!

A super hot day, most of it without water, as the boilermen were here. I have never needed to pee so much!

But they have done a great job so far - just 1 of them is back tomorrow. So pleased we've had it done. However, it shows how much we need to do the kitchen now, so may push us into organizing that.

Did a couple of live sessions with classes, which went very well.

Got access to some exampr0 materials, so downloaded the mfl ones for gcse and a level.

I have eaten really well today - it's embarrassing to go and snack when someone is working in your kitchen...

We are slowly being roasted alive...

Yes it is hot out there, so we have the doors and windows open and curtains closed to keep out the direct sunlight.

But the boilerman is here and is testing the system. So the rads are pumping out heat. Flushing them has worked well!

At least we have water today...

Oh dear - dread to think how hot the heating must have had to be to come on! - the thermostat in our hallway was registering 29.5 earlier this evening - do not envy you having had to have had the heating on!! X

Oh God today was absolutely hot enough without having to add central heating tests! I hope you've managed to cool the house down since then!

So pleased that it rained in the night! But it is shaping up to be another hot one today. And less wind - boo!

Greent - they had to run it at full pelt to check that it all worked after they had power flushed it. Then to check that the thermostat worked, they had to turn it up to 32!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was very out of sorts from about 3pm onwards, and now I think that it was dehydration as I must have drunk about 3 or 4 pints of water between 7 and 9pm, and only got up for the loo a couple of times in the night.

So today I have already downed a good couple of pints. And will continue to quaff the clear stuff all day...

I forewent my early morning w/outs as I did taekwondo at 11 for an hour. Ooph!

I went to aldee instead and had a thoroughly nice time. They had bamboo toothbrushes - pack of 2 for just £1.49. Wow! I think I'll go back and get some more - soon, as they were part of one of their 'specials' but not mega recent - you can tell by where they are in the store.

Dd and I went into town to collect her new specs this afternoon, and they are just fab! I then had to endure a trip to the d1snee store, followed by a much nicer mooch in wat3rst0nes. Nowt spent, though.
