It has indeed been a busy day and I am quite worn out.I saw several people at school, as they were there to prep for returning kiddies (we go from nursery to y13, so every edict re schools is applicable to us!), and it was lovely to chat a bit. But being sociable is sooo tiring! Goodness knows what I'll be like when we're all back...And I did a liddle shop. But how on earth did I manage to spend £70?! We are well supplied for a while now...I think that we are spending more each shop, but going shopping less frequently, so not really spending more overall. I have resurrected my detailed spreadsheet, and am overwriting from last year. Surprisingly, prices have not risen too much, though f+v fluctuate the most. Come theend of themonth, we'll see just how much I spent on chocolate...!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!3

Re opening schools, Vallence added "social distancing will have to remain in place 'for some time'". Yeah, but not in schools....it just can't be done...and apparently the rule doesn't apply there...But it is half term - yay!I want to learn to use/ make kahoot thingies...I want to use the paddling pool due to HOT weather... please.I'm on day 9 of a chloe ting 25 day challenge, so want to keep that up.Who knows, I may even get dd's room painted and the downstairs walls washed...Maybe...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!3

Over the last couple of months, I have been increasingly sucked into the world of utube and I must have lost many hours in that there rabbit warren. Not all of it was frivolous, but much of it was... I think that I was justifying the decision I made that this lockdown simply cannot be a time of 'self-improvement' here in the apple household, as we are just so darned busy. Except, we're not that busy, are we... Not really...So where do I go from here? It seems that I'll be back in school on June 15 for a grand total of... 2/30 lessons per week to teach my y10s. That's 1 lesson on 2 different days according to the current timetable... Assuming that they come back...
That is only 3 weeks away. And, I willingly admit, I have become Mrs Blobby... and the thought of going back like this is frankly, rather embarrassing... Will that spur me on to be more active and to eat better? I guess we'll find out in 3 weeks' time...Dd has been consistently under the weather for about 4 weeks now. She had antibiotics for a double ear infection, but they didn't have a magic mending effect, and despite taking them for about 10 days, she's still getting occasional shooting/stabbing ear pains, is off her food, has tummy aches, and generally feels very meh. And her breath is really quite smelly!I did chloe ting day #11/25 today. Dd and I went out for a walk, and she and I did some painting of one of her walls. When lockdown ends, I reckon the children's clothing shops will do well, as all the kids will have grown out of their stuff in the 2-3 months since lockdown started!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!5 -
I had a chat with dd and told her that she should not have any dairy and see if that helped her tummy. Within 24hours, it was much better. We know that she has a dairy allergy (borderline 'intolerance' rather than 'allergy') but I think we had become a little blase about having some on a daily basis.I took myself out for a longish (time-wise) walk/jog this morning and had a lovely time.Dh had some extra work, helping paint lines / do signage for the return to sch on June 1st.We don't knowingly have gooogle assistant open on any device, but soon after dh mentioned the space launch this evening, what appeared on my utube suggestions, but the live streaming from nasa... Suspicious...I have avoided most processed food today and feel much better for it.Had a chat with big sis and mum's care home has had 0 cases of covid. Phew. Was able to help out a neighbour with his blocked sink + dishwasher outside drain, as dh helpfully had a 1 litre container of sulphuric acid under the sink. As you do...A small m+s delivery today. I've ordered dd some clothes and umderwear from them and also from george. She so rarely has brand new clothes that she is mega excited about them all! Anyhow, today's small delivery has made her much more comfortable, so when the next size up arrives, we'll keep it 'to grow into'.Am very pleased that street markets can open soon - not that we have any at all near us, but I'd defo use them if we did...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!2

Ooh, another m+s delivery - daisy embroidered jeans this time. Dd is chuffed!Got my Chloe Ting day #15 done and have avoided processed food again. It has been a good day to have a little sit in the sunshine - though the wind has a chilly edge to it...Dd's old taekwondo teacher got in touch to tell us about zoom training. Dd is quite interested, and I'd personally like her to do that rather than the dance classes... Maybe dh and I will join too, at beginner level, of course.Just 1 more day of half term left. I have done no work at all and it has been wonderful. I have arranged a meet with a class first thing on Monday morning so will have to be up and coherent. And I need to sort out a pack of work for the y11s who are continuing with the language next year...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!3

BAME.According to Le Monde, we are uniquely placed as a country to analyse this (and O Público says that if there's anything we're good at, it's graphs and data and analyses!), as in France, it is illegal to collect data on ethnicity...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0

Got dh to check what we owe on the mortgage today. It is around £500.
Not too shabby, eh? I am wearing my smug face!
Dd had a meltdown today about only seeing her friends via tech. Now, if she'd only had her crisis a week ago, I could have tried to arrange something... But it is back to lessons tomorrow...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!3 -
My 10 year old DS really struggled last week with missing his friends, he told me he was depressed
He seems to have bounced back to his usual cheery self this week.
Congratulations on being a hair’s breadth from mortgage freedomSave £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%

Yep, a gnat's whisker away...! But dh asked me to stop now, as we need to check what, if any, the ERC might be...Another glorious day. One more, then the Bristish Summer arrives... I must empty and clean the paddling pool tomorrow...Managed to mess up work for 2 classes AGAIN today by only sending it to the form tutors and forgetting to add the classes to the mailing list. I feel such a twit. I realised at about 5pm, so did send it out with a huge apology and an extended deadline. The rest of dd's new clothes arrived today and she adores them all. I am so pleased for her, as she rarely gets brand new clothes!Dd got 5 lots of exam results back today and has done really well. Then at 5pm ish, 2 friends called for her to play out. So, overall, she has had a much better day. Phew.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!2
