Zshred #3 has been done and it took me nearly 29 minutes! it was 3 rounds, and only in the final round did I realise that it was not 10 heavy steps ups on each leg, but 10 in total. Oops.We have all watched a film dd wanted us to see - a real emotional roller coaster, and I got through several tissues! It was quite cathartic really, but I'm glad we watched it before lunch.I can't get my head around the fact that today is Good Friday and it is nearly Easter. I'm very glad that I bought dd's eggs (yes, plural, as I got her one in case I couldn't find the one she loves, then found the one she loves...) weeks and weeks ago. We also have a bag of Qual street for dh and I think I saw some thornton's in a bag he had the other day...Dd and I have done another 25+ mins of badminton. We're improving, but oh-so-slowly! We 'blame' it on the wind that comes and goes... And the sun that gets in our eyes... And our own incompetence...The patio is being left in peace today as I sprayed some weedkiller yesterday and need to give it time to work. There is one more bit of the back garden to dig over, and about 1m of the front to weed. But can I find the motivation to do them...?!I think that my sch prep is nearly done - yay!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!2

Well, that bit of the back garden got dug over in the end!Tomorrow I hope to finish weeding the front bit. And plant a lavender from its pot into soil. And clean up the patio. And maybe sort through the 'tool box' outside.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!3

2023: the year I get to buy a car2 -
And ...I spent several hours in A&E instead...Oops.Last night, dh suggested we go to w1lko in a nearby town. We all went, to combine it with liddle and spocksavers if open. Dd and I did liddle and picked up my specs while dh queued 40 mins for w1lko. We wandered down to him and he was next in so dd went in with him and I took the shopping over the railway bridge to the free on-street parking. I put the bags down by the rear wheel, opened the boot and picked them up. Then fell very badly off the kerb and couldn't get up. My left ankle had a big ridge of swelling across it in nanoseconds. So I shouted for help and 2 surveyors who happened to be there (surveying, of course) saw me and ran to help. They offered to call an ambulance but I phoned dh and they helped me in to the car to wait for him. He took me to a nearish a&e and then I sent him and dd home until I called. He got the call after about 3 hours which was pretty good going. Nothing broken but 'soft tissue damage'.So now I'm home with a pack of peas wrapped around my foot. It is hugely swollen and hurts. But it is not broken. I have been told to use it as much as poss and to try to walk normally... No patio clearing, planting, mowing, cleaning, painting, etc for me then!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!4

Oh apple! You poor thing, how awful. Good to hear people still ran to help you, though, in spite of all the madness going on.

I know, karma. One of them hoiked me up so I could sit on the edge of the boot, they both put my shopping in the boot, then helped me into the car. You wouldn't have thought there was a cv issue - they were fab!XS - it is aching a lot more now, so I expect tomorrow to be painful. But it's not permanent and I'll soon be recovering. I can use time tomorrow pondering what I can do rather than feeling limited by what I can't do. I mean, I didn't really want to wash down all the inside walls anyway! Me, the sofa, the remote, the bag of frozen peas, water, coffee, chocolate, arnica and paracetamol. Perfick!!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!4

It has been a perfick day, as outlined above.Much sitting around and too much chocolate. But I have made myself move around a little on my spectacularly swollen and increasingly purple ankle.Happy Easter!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!3

I completely gluttoned out on chocolate yesterday so today I am going back to my 85% and 95% choc bars.Currently watching a St Trinians from the 60s. And dd is loving it - girl power!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!2

Dh went up to sainz this morning and then into aldee as their q had shortened. yay!I had a call from the fracture clinic, which was much sooner than I had expected. Basically, no break, but a very very bad sprain and if it is still swollen in 6 weeks, I'm to get in touch with them. Too right I will!I have managed to sweep the downstairs, as it was sorely overdue and rather mucky. And washed the main rug, which dh has hung up over the climbing frame to make the most of the constant breeze out there, plus any sunshine we are lucky to get. I really want to sort the patio (in between the slabs where the weeds are lurking...) but but know that I can't get down there... Or at least, I could most probably get down but not up again...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!3
