I have learned more about msoft teams today and found an excellent set of utube vids done recently by a real teacher. Still lots to learn though!I've started a new workout schedule -not fr33let1cs (it looked too hard!!) But another zuzka light one. Called zshred. Pretty hard and I've only done #1... Also played some badminton with dd - we got dh to have a go too. Some needlefelting has been done to try to make the sausage dog look more like the dinosaur it should be... Started another one too, which should end up being a stegosaurus...
No gardening today as my hands are feeble and my thumb base joints quite achey. That's what comes of weeding, eh? I presume that if I kept on top of it (ie did it more frequently) then it would be easier all round...Had a lovely chat with big sis. She still calls mum almost every day. A recent conversation was cut short by mum saying, 'Ooh, there's a good seat. I'm going for that. Bye!!' So good to hear that she's in the lounge, mixing, and can still race for a seat and win - most of the others are slower and less stable!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!4 -
Keeping on top of gardening ... oh boy. I rather be dealing with dogs and dinosaurs, but I'm not - I'm in the keeping up arena too!I do agree wtih your doubts about the footballers - I hope people remember what the majority of them did. Some honourable exceptions, of course, like Gary Neville and his hotel opening up to NHS workers free.2023: the year I get to buy a car3

So, the closing of schools has not been a good thing, it is being said. Schools could re-open but pupils would need to observe social distancing and have reduced break times to reduce contact. Yeah, right! How wide are most school corridors? How large are classrooms? How many surfaces are touched by everybody in just one day? How do these pupils all get to school anyway? And they'd be expected to stay in once they got back home.Really???NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!3

That sounds barking mad, apple!

It's research by statisticians and mathermaticians based on previous outbreaks of flu-like stuff. Total twitheads. No idea of how schools run. And, as dd says, sending them back to school but banning playtime would be much worse than the current situation. It's on the bbc headlines page. Sigh. Can't they find some worthwhile news - there's plenty out there...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!3

Dd and I went to aldee. The man on the door was very nice but tried to stop dd accompanying me. No way! I said that I couldn't leave her outside and that she wouldn't touch anything. And she didn't, apart from putting items in the trolley.I've been hanging around utube finding clips for my y10s, played badminton a couple of times with dd, done yoga with adrienne and read. All very nice!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!3

We are considered to be 3 or 4 weeks 'behind' Italy. They are still on lockdown. So there really should be no discussion of re-opening schools any time soon.Unless you're in Portugal who are mooting some return for older pupils who can then sit their exams. Yikes!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!3

I'm glad you stuck to your guns about dd at aldee - ridiculous to apply the rule to one child with one parent.

Good. As you were. No definitive answer can be given on re-opening schools when asked if they'll re-open before the summer hols. Need to wait and see what happens. Good. I'm happy with that.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!3

We have clean windows! Dd helped me to clean the outside downstairs back windows this morning. Then I went and did as much as I could reach of the upstairs from inside. Then dh got the ladder out and did the upstairs properly and it all looks fab!We took the executive decision not to even think about the front windows, as they were only replaced in Nov, so surely they can't be too mucky yet...??While dh was up the ladder, I dug over the 2 side beds in the back and weeded and spread compost on them. I could hear the plants thanking me for the space! As I had to clear the patio of all the pots and gubbins on it for the ladder, I guess my next task ought to be to clean it up. Lots of weeds. Moss. Stuff left laying there. Maybe tomorrow...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!4
