Dd is now moaning about her antibiotics. She is definitely mending!
Took her up to the local newsagents this morning, to buy us each a magazine. Which neither of us has started reading yet! It was good to be out together chatting and walking.
10 hours of sleep doesn't see me much better. Sigh. Dh is adamant I need to drink fruit juice. I object, as I'm downing 6-8 different veg a day, often mostly raw. And OJ gives me a pure sugar rush coupled with acid, so why on earth would I choose to drink it...?
Dd is enthusiastically strumming away on her uke and dh is banging together a bookcase. Sigh...
Anyhow, got myself a new sports bra from aldee - for cmas. No chance of it being used at the mo -4 weeks of not-well-at-all-ness is enough. I'd like to get better, please.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Got up this morning, came downstairs, sneezed violently 5 times and thought, 'Why am I getting ready for work? I'm just not fit for purpose. I struggled through last week and am no better now - in fact, I'm probably worse.' So I let them know, set cover work, and have been to the dr. I have... a... virus. Nowt to be done. Sigh.
But I am home and resting. And that is good.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -

I do actually feel better this evening, xspender. Thank you. I have certainly produced much less snot. And also had a little nap this afternoon
. I went to the dr because I'd had three staying-in-and-trying-to-get-better-days to no avail. But this one, the 4th, seems to have helped me turn a corner. Phew.
Just had a visit from my cousin. He's been for an interview at a 'localish' place so we fed him and chatted before he headed home.
Dd had a goodish day and ended up walking home with a friend, which was lovely as things have been strained between them and they didn't know how to sort it out, but all the awkwardness has gone now.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Apple munched, I really have to stop lurking and start posting- if you don't mind? I've read the whole of your diary and simply love the way you demonstrate your philosophy in the way you live your life. Having paid terrifying debt off and now being a confirmed saver (even channelling my great grandma at times with her 'that's 5 shillings in the old money'), I now appreciate a simple but satisfying life that reflects my priorities, not those of banks and credit cards who want me to spend unnecessarily to quench pointless status anxiety. Love my reliable yet ancient car for the little I drive, and try to take time to breathe. I think I see that in your diary - appreciation of the beauty of an ordered life, even if it's impossible to achieve it 100% of the time. Thanks Humdinger0

Very glad not to be at work or seeing my counsellor today. Took dd to sch then headed to liddle to use a 10 off 40 voucher. We had a list and a calculator and made it to slightly over, so felt rather smug. We have another voucher to use by ty 14th - be a shame to waste it, so I'm going there again tomorrow. The store cupboards will be bursting! But I'll also get stuff for the foodbank.
I am very grateful today that I am in a position to help out my neighbour - with presents of food, and doing her washing whilst her machine is on the blink and the engineer takes yonks to come out...
Dh has a thingy mature soon and we'll be able to pay off the mortgage, replace carpets, replace back windows, poss also have some left to put towards getting the kitchen done... It seems unreal!
So, I'm back to work tomorrow. I took dd swimming today which has really worn her out and made her cough again. I did bunny slope #1 very gently whilst she swam and am also rather worn out. Dh is also full of coughing and pretty under the weather. Welcome to the apple household!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
We have decided that we shall have steak on Christmas day. We both love it, so why not?NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0

Great news on the thingy being able to clear the mortgage and do some bits around the house.:j
My sister eats Indian food on Christmas Day as neither of them enjoy turkey and they go out with their daughters for a Christmas meal a couple of weeks before as neither live at home. My colleague only ever has salmon.
Aldi have GF Christmas puddings and cake if you like a traditional pud or GF sponge pudding if you don’t
