I struggled into work, having had dd in bed with me last night. Dh took her to the minor injuries unit today(dr had no spare appts) and she has an ear infection so has antibiotics. I feel like nicking a spoonful or two! Hopefully a good night's sleep will help... If dd sleeps in her own bed...

Anyhow, work was good. I enjoyed my classes. It was a dry lunch duty. And I walked almost 9k steps. Now to veg out.

Dd and dh were almost decided to send dd to sch today, but I suggested we wait until the morning, to see how the night went. And the night went v well indeed! Dd (and dh too!) is still asleep - so nearly 11 hours so far. I'll keep her off today so that she has a full 2 days of meds. She has 7 days worth, so I guess the infection was pretty nasty.
Thank you for all the well wishes.

I left the house at 9 to go to my counsellor, and no-one else was up! I do so appreciate the opportunity to simply dump my thoughts with someone.

Dd didn't go anywhere today, and I'm keeping her off for 1 more day, as I think that she will then manage the last 2 days of the week. Just. And not have to spend the whole w/end recovering. Well, that's my plan...

I was planning to go and see mum on fri, but that does depend on how many germs I can dispose of before then. No point going to a care home ful of germs, eh? Plus the travelling would wreck me. And so would the talking with mum - repeating almost everything, and having to speak rather loudly.

So, dd has had a 3rd day off and is now wanting to go in tomorrow. I think she'll manage the ladt 2 days but she can always stay off on fri if nec.

I have decided not to go and visit mum on Fri as it would do my own health no favours (nor the oldies in the home!). Nor the people on the trains...

Tomorrow I need to work (boo) and then drop a bag to the sally army, visit nwest and nwide, and shop in liddle. The latter can't wait for the voucher as we are v low on/out of things, as I've been planning to go for the last 6 days but not made it... Then I'll do a b i g shop with the voucher, and include items for my neighbour. I know she's struggling but she is a giver and not one to ask for anything. I don't want to embarass her, but a bag of groceries every so often really helps her out. And we both pretend that I've got what she asked me to get, so her kids don't get embarassed either :D.

    Can't wait to feel better...

You're a good neighbour, apple, thats kind. And you're right not to go to your mum's either, it spreads like wildfire in those environemnts.

I improve as the day goes on. Fisherman's friends are my constant companion, as well as gallons of water. Then I flop when I get through the front door.

Anyhow, dd survived a day at school, along with a club before school, a club at lunch and a club after school! Now to look up the hwk... and try to muster the brain power to do it at some point this evening...

I did a liddle shop after work, dropped a bag to the SA, paid in 2 cheques (virgin delay repay + tax refund), and put some cash into dd's account. I figured that it was better to make the effort to do it all on the way home rather than have to go out specially another day :D.

Tomorrow I plan to veg out.

So I have spent money for the first time this month!

I am very pleased that I did the liddle + other stuff yesterday. Today saw me accompany dd to sch then visit sainz to stock up on Fish friends and 0lbas oil. I'm getting through the ff at a rate of knots as, apart from water, theyre the only thing that helps my throat. I did try a packet of l0ck3ts but they were so sugary and ineffective, it was like eating a boiled sweet but with the expectation that it would do something useful... But it didn't.

The new 0lbas oil does seem less olbassy that the bottle we've been using.. but that one would have come from when we cleared the parental houses, and was prob over 6 years old. So it would have been more concentrated!

Have done a fair amount of walking today and really appreciated getting out in the crisp air. Also appreciated balm tissues, ff, oo and l3ms1p. And, of course, WSM (up to 2007 now, still got Mariusz on the scene :D) and needlefelting. My order arrived with some wools, so I was able to clothe several naked robins.

Finally got to give neighbour the items I'd bought (loo roll, wul, hand soap, big pack of biccies and bin bags). Also got hold of two free papers with the liddle voucher in, so will use some of that 'free' money on her too. Her wm is now kaput, so that's another way we can help her. I'm still donating to the fb, but think that personally helping a friend is really important.

Yay :j to it being the weekend tomorrow, and no need to set an alarm. Dd has already said that she doesn't want to go to dance :D.
