Thank you for my birthday wishes - very gratefully received
.
My manic monday ended up being less manic than anticipated, as I was armed and ready for it. I was able to cross things off lists, and rip up some lists as I'd completed them. It did have its moments, as I was trying to locate a particular listening test online and just couldn't find it for a lonnnnng time. Then I lost it as I started the class who I needed it for. But was able to find it much quicker that time around.
Lots of marking generated today, and I have even brought some home. But tomorrow's priority is some online exam stuff. The marking can wait :rotfl:.
Did another workout: 21x10/30
-squat + press L with 5kDB
-R
-pike jump + squat thrust
-1-legged bridge L
-R
-pike jump
-knee hug
Now up to 26 consecutive days.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Belated birthday wishes Apple. My children have texts and I ignored the precise papers so as not to stress them out. They'll do as well as they are naturally able and these ones are only for the school to look good! Will be year 6 tests for dd next year though.
The fox project, are you thoughts turning to C*****mas fayres?June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
Thanks Cath. Dd is enjoying the sats so far. Today was comprehension and she enjoyed all 3 texts and reckons she aced it!
We're just back from her new swim class. Yes, it's rather a rush to get there for 4, but she loved it, and we're back home with her munching her tea soon after 5. I did 20 lengths myself.
Today's workout was one that Zuzka reckoned would take about 1 min to do once through :rotfl:. It took me 3! I did 12 minutes of it, so just over 4 rounds.
Have arranged to reduce my counselling sessions to twice a month. Should be ok with that.
Aldi had a section of gf items, so I bought a few. Not much cheaper than sainz, and not our usual purchases, so rather a one-off. No point in needless spending, eh?
My sch summer fair is 22nd June, so my projects are with that in mind. Though quite why I'm focussing on knitted items is anybody's guess... Guess I should do a stock-take in the next few days, as I'm not going to have a lot of free time once the marking kicks in...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
I've had a good day at work.
My trip has been given approval to run. Cos I don't have enough paperwork to do... :rotfl:.
I enjoyed my kettlebell workout - took about 7 mins as I did 3 rounds of it rather than see how much I could do in 5mins.
Dd and I walked up to the posh school to drop off paperwork. Actually, she cycled. Barefoot.
Had a windows man round. Boy, do they cost a lot. Even after all the discounts that he can apply. And that was only for the front of our mid-terrace - 1 door, 1 floor-to-ceiling window and 3 others. When I had my little end-of-terrace in Leics, I had 2 doors, 1 bay window and 6 other windows all different shapes and sizes and openings. All replaced for...£3111. Those were the days :rotfl:. Dh is going to arrange for at least another 2 companies to visit.
Still no motivation to get my sch marking done. Or any sewing. Whoops. But I have mowed the front and back, so that's all right...
A friend dropped my bday present round - a hanging basket with a pale pink 'fat' fuschia bush in it. Wonderful!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -

Thanks earthie!
Got 1/3 of pesky marking done this morning... The rest has come home with me to keep me company.
Did my workout, 10 mins, 20x25/5, 12K KB. All good fun! Another workout chosen for the morning.
Took a bag to the Sally Army. 5 so far this month.
Meeting a friend for coffee tomorrow. Am sooo excited about going out! Will be using the buses, so should get some walking in. And if I'm early, there's a charity shop to visit... The week after I go and see mum, I always find that I need to have a nice Friday with lots of time to myself.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Had a lovely time with friend, and she paid. Yay!
Got points added to my n3ctar card from when I forgot it when shopping.
Found some perfect sandals in the ch shop £4, and 2 books for dd for 30p.
Stonking workout. It took Zuzana 33 minutes to do all 4 rounds, do I just set a timer for 20 mins and did as much as I could, which was 2 rounds and 12 squat. It looked a deceptively simple one...
-20 x pick sbag (26lbs) on to alt shoulder, squat, drop sbag, squat jump
-20 reptile
-20 each side 1-legged squat and jump
-15 each side side plank raise with fore + back leg lift
Simples :rotfl:.
Now to choose another one for tomorrow.
Dd and I went to the library after school and took out 17 books between us. We also have another 7 or 8 using the online book service.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Have a lovely weekend, apple
and hope you had a lovely birthday too.
As for the windows, can I just say ... these discounts are false, you can bargain as hard as you like, and you can be absolutely sure the company is fine. They won't go past their bottom line, its a trick, I'm afraid to say.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
I have been loving my workouts lately too. Found a great 15 minute strength one that I just love and I can really feel the difference.
I have a library trip planned tomorrow as it going to rain here. What a shock after all this sun!
