Have had a lovely day at work - another 1/2 day, and enjoyable classes.

There was a carpet of cherry blossom this morning - beautiful to see.

I took 2 bags to the Sally Army (7 now this month, despite 10 days away). We prob have about 3 bags worth of books to go, so I need to find other items to go too, to lighten each bag. No, not dh's thunderbirds vhs tapes...

Dh has suggested that we don't go to Oz over cmastime as we could go for longer if we went in the summer hols. One reason for going in the winter was so that dd could have a 'hot' bday in jan. But dh said we could go somewhere hot for a week instead of Oz. Dd is happy with that :D.

She is having a very rough time of it at sch at the mo. Seems like her group of friends have turned against her - led by a certain individual who used to be one of her best friends, and is certainly her longest-standing friend. I've decided not to go and visit mum whilst dd is going through this, as she already dislikes me going away.

Bought a lavender plant from liddle today. Cos it was pretty. Oops. I don't have any birthdays until June, so someone will have an unexpected present! I've a kilner jar whose lid doesn't close - lost the clip thingy - so will remove the lid and use that as a plant pot. Visible roots for extra interest...

    Did my workout: 15x10/50:
    -side jump lunge
    -reptile (v mini) push up
    -knee hug

    -prisoner squat
    -hanging knee raise

Sorry to hear dd is having a difficult time with school friends. It can be so difficult for girls at that age.

Thank you Cath. She is amazingly stoic at times, then melts into a quivering wreck at others. I feel so helpless.

I have had a productive morning thus far, and it feels good.

I have done the online training for my marking. I have made hobnobs and Zuzana's power balls. My first attempt at soya yog in the slow cooker is ongoing. I have done my workout and headspace.

Just need to do some marking and write out the lesson obs paperwork for Mon. And email dd's sch re food on the sch journey trip. And try the hobnobs and power balls. And post some stuff on gumtree. And maybe mow the grass. And pull up the sticky weed...

But first, to read my book for a bit...

Yay to the rootlet settling in and making itself at home :D

    Hobnobs: yum
    Power balls: more yum
Yog: currently wrapped in a towel and sat in a dark place!

Front is mown, sticky weed plucked (note to self: WEAR GLOVES OTHERWISE IT HURTS FOR AGES AFTERWARDS), and back gdn re-arranged. I got dh to play 'spot the difference' and he said how big it now looked. Result :D

Off to do the email snd lesson obs.

    Maybe...

    Wrote and sent the email.

Tried to write up the lesson but the template I have is waaaaaay out of date. I did bring home a paper copy withmy scribbled notes on, so I may have to make a neat copy to fill in.

The yog is thick-ish only on the bottom cm. It is currently residing in the fridge and we'll see if it wants to behave tomorrow...

Glad it is the w/end and dd has a break. She was up the front in assembly today, for her barefoot month to raise money for Save the Children. I'm v proud of her! And at least the kids now know why she's cycling home barefoot.

Hope dd is ok. Its awful but she'll come out of it stronger and wiser. Thinking of you/her.

We thought of Easter for aus (their spring where we were going) but I hate winter here so that was our thinking about december.

With now almost definitely going in the summertime, it may well be next summer! That feels soon...

Did a home-made w/o this morning as my right knee was a little swollen and grumpy, so no leaping around. :j
    12x5/35
2 lunge pulse + side kick R with sbag (it weighs 25.6lbs)
    same with L kick
    1-leg sbag deadlift R
    same L
Then: 4 mins of 10 sbag clean + press, 5 sbag front squat, 5 sbag back squat = 2 rounds + 7 clean + press.

I have realised that I am thoroughly enjoying using the sandbag again, it's a good challenge. :D

The yog thickened slightly, so I re-heated it, cooled it and have added more alpro yog and it is wrapped in a towel. We'll see what it does this time...

Otherwise, I'll have to try a different method.

My dd is a wise little thing. I love her to bits :D

Very interesting about the yogurt in the slow cooker. And kudos to your little DD, she's showing your dedication to living a full life :)
