My appt was at 12.10 with Mrs dentist. I much prefer Mr dentist, but was grateful to be seen. Well, I was called through by mr dentist, as he had swapped things and fitted me in. He drilled and filled - no need for an injection. And due to having seen him for a check up just 3 weeks ago, I only had to pay to 'top up' to the cost of the filling.

    Result!

Although should anything else happen to that particular tooth, then we are looking at crowning it at a cost of £250 ish...

Right, it's been over 30mins since he filled it, so will toddle off and get lunch - more of yesterday's 5-veg soup with a hb egg and keto bread.

You didn't get an injection to cope with the drilling? Good grief, woman, you're made of steel! Congratulations on getting it sorted, and on getting the dentist of your choice, I always think that's really important.

Pesky body internal heating system woke me at 5.45 this morning. I managed to cool down and stay in bed until 6.15...

So I have done an old Bodyrock workout (36x20/10: low jack; 12k 1-leg deadlift L; jump lunge; R) and a finisher (100 KB swing + 20 goblet squat + 20 windmill using the 8k KB). I mean, why not?!?

Dd came downstairs near the end and, bless her, said that my legs look a bit thinner. Awww.

Starting to think of minimalist packing for Texas. 3 weeks to go...

I have fianlly tidied up my address book! It's a filofax - my one and only - that I got when I volunteered with the world student games in Sheffield in 1992 (or 1991). I've tried to replace it but found nothing that I loved more. So today I bit the bullet and simply used the blank pages to write out all the current people. I'd been clever enough over the years to cross people out, which was useful. It was a nice trip down memory lane for me.

Oh wow! I had trouble replacing my tiny old address book from a million years ago, and eventually I just used a diary, one year when I'd already bought one (need to buy them a long time ahead when you're self employed) and was given one for Xmas. Filofax is ideal for updating, isn't it :)

    Took dd to dance.

Posted off a parcel and popped into a ch shop that supports a local hospice and found a foldy-uppy exercise/camping mat for £2.50. It's an item that I have been keeping an eye out for, to give to the man/men at Euston, to keep their bottoms warmer. V pleased to find one.

I have cut off and pulled off a fair whack of ivy, and dug over and weeded a little more garden. Dh treated the new fence whilst we were at dance and it looks great. He intends to re-treat the rest of the fences so we'll need to buy some more stainy stuff.

I have finished reading frugaldom's 'buying a house without a mortgage' thread. So pleased she managed it, and the updates make me want to find out more!

Thank you. I'd been pondering for a while the whole 'they must get so cold sitting on the ground, often just on a cardboard box squished flat, and what about in the rain...' So this seeems a good thing, to me. I'llmtake it with me next time I travel to see mum - it's so light that it won't matter if they aren't there that time.
