I've not made my 19 list public as you have XSpender! Too cowardly! And I've not had life throw me any curveballs like it has for you. And I chose things that felt do-able within the month. So 'painting the hall' didn't make the list as it involved doing too many things before even starting on it. Today's gardening only involved putting on some gloves and picking up the secateurs. Other garden jobs require thr spade and fork to be used.
We have recorded some cadfael, so it was on in the background. i think I've read most of the books too.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Still no financial outlet for green snot...
I was v happy to only work half of today. And I ended it with my favourite class, having some lovely chats with them.
I shall be receiving some pennies for the extra work I have done, the last 2 wednesdays. A bonus, as I wasn't originally expecting anything.
Got myself out for a 30min walk before collecting dd. She usually walks home from school, but said yesterday that she wasn't enjoying walking home after a club when it's darker (and wet and miserable) and there aren't many other people around. A very fair point!
Got myself another nsd; did nowt towards by 19 by 19 targets, though I did read through the list...!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Did my sch cmas fair this afternoon. I always enjoy it, talking to pupils and parents. This time dd also had a stall, as part of my table (I went in and set it up, and dh brought her along after sch). I made a very pleasing £87.34 and dd is chuffed with her £10.50.
I was on the receiving end of some generosity today - another lady was selling home made bath bombs and I was contempating getting one for my niece but she has mega reactionary skin, and the only 'safe' bombs come from luuush. And the lady gave me one for her to try! So in response, I gave her 3 hanging house decs, as she has 3 kids. Then she bought 3 bunnies and was insistent that I set up an instagrmmm account to sell things! I feel waaaaay behind on the modern selling methods...
So that is the end of the fairs for this year. Phew. Time to put crafting away and get christmas out!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
I am so glad that there is another day of the weekend left. Dd is shattered and generally struggling along. Tomorrow, we have the church Nativity and there's a meal afterwards, but she doesn't really want to stay for it, so I'll bring her back and we'll chill out for the afternoon.
Yesterday I picked up a fabric teddy from a ch shop. Today I have photographed it, stitch rippered it and labeled each part. It looked easy to make but having dissected it, it seems like there are rather a lot of parts to it! Ah well, a new challenge ahead...
I signed up for SB recently and have been doing my utmost to get to 720 points and thebonus. I have finally reached it - and thoroughly earned it! - so I shall look into how to get the extra tenner that was promised. Not sure if they will email me, or if I have to redeem in a special way. I did sign up via Martin's linkie, so have done it right so far...
4 items off my 19 by 19 list are completed. I knew I made them easy for a reason!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Dd and I went to ch; the nativity went v well; we stayed for some food afterwards. Dh stayed home as he'd had a huge amount of shoulder pain during the night - cause unknown!?! He has greatly improved during the day, but I want him to go and some physio.
I have redeemed my SB points and got my £15 amzn voucher sorted. I suggested to dh that he do the same but he gets easily frustrated, and only earned about 11 of my points for me before giving up. However, I might suggest that he sets up an account and I can do the legwork to get another £15.
Wrapped 20 candles today as gifts, and half will be gone by Thursday, as I finish term this friday. Yep, just 3 more work get-ups. Well, 2 really, as I'm going in late on weds cos I have permission to go see dd's production. :j
Tidied away all my makes today; and my wool. Next to do is the fabric... and then I can cross off another of the 19s.
Really appreciating and enjoying having quiet times so far this month, as per the NST challenge for dec. Just as well, seeing as how I wrote this month's rules!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
I am v happy to have only 2 more part days until the end of my term. They are both rather full-on, busy days, but they feel manageable.
I am physically feeling the effects of doing v little physically for 2+ weeks, coupled with poorer eating habits, which is a nice way of putting it :rotfl:.So I've printed put Zuzka Light's Bunny Slope workouts. Again. There are 20 of them and I want to challenge myself to get them all done by Jan 6th, which gives me 26 days... Some require equipment, a few are bodyweight and several will probably need adapting for my dodgy shoulder!
We have a square 'archway' between our lounge and dining room. Dd discovered today that she can stretch between the two sides - feet on one side, hands on the other - off the ground. She also fell down and walloped one knee in particular, so is rather morose and sorry for herself now. As well as being proud of being strong enough to reach and hold up her own bodyweight!
We are out tomorow evening at a friend's housewarming. Dd is coming along too, so we'll not be staying too late.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
A good day has been had.
Counselling; walking; shopping; crafting; exercise...
Got 10 more items for the foodbank box, and have completed that 1/19. All my fabric and wool are 'tidied' away. Another 1/19. So far, I've done 6/19. And started 5 more.
I started on the bunny slope workouts and have done #1.
Spent rather a lot in saiz (all gf/df for dd) and aldee - where you get significantly more for your money!
5 nellies are cut out and need sewing over the next few days.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Watched dd's sch concert -v nice. (Tho I don't think she'll want to hear any carols for a while...) Then rushed to work to teach 1 class (they were lovely - possibly enticed to behave by sweets on offer...) and meet with a colleague about some paperwork.
And home again, to do bunny slope #2 plus my shoulder exercises. 2 down, 18 to go!
Acquired a few more swagbux points whilst watching cadfael.
Am enjoying the build up to cmas as I'm in no mad rush to go out and buy, buy, buy. Still not got our decs up. Or potted trees inside. But the fairy lights that stayed up all year are booootiful.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Tomorrow is Christmas jumper day at work. I have my elf one with a big hood and a huuuge jingling bell on the end of it so you can hear me coming a mile off.:DNST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0

My jingly jumper garnered several compliments today!
A lovely last day at work. I return tomorrow for the free lunch :j,after attending free mince pies at dd's school :rotfl:!
We had a clothes 'bring and buy' at work yesterday. It was at the end of the day so I wasn't there, but I'd offered to take the remains to the ch shop. So I brought them all home today. And after a thorough rootle, have found about 12 items for dd and me. They are already washed and drying! So I shall hand in my money for them tomorrow. And big sis is coming to visit tomorrow night, so she too can have a rootle.
Found a lovely brooch for mum in a ch shop today, which has made me happy.
And found cheap fuel - £1.22.9 per litre.
And used my £5 icyland credit for milk + some nice bits that were cheaper than elsewhere.
Tomorrow:
-headspace
-bunny slope #3
-shoulder ex
-sch run
-free mince pies
-sch prep work (prob at sch)
-free cmas lunch
-sew nellies
-properly tidy some more
-book hotel for next weekNST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0
