Sounds like well thought out purchases and a mini win with the coffees. I am a bit dangerous at the shops at the moment. Feeling a bit overwhelmed with to do list, so it's easy to say I'll buy that rather than make it...

It's true that we do try to think about it and buy well, earthie- thank you! Though buying something in so many different shops always feel much more frivolous and spendy than it really is.

Liketoday. Dd and I took 2 bags to the Sally Army this morning, then mooched around the 7 ch shops there and bought stuff in 5 of them. We used up £12 of credit in the SA and spent about £16 elsewhere. We got: 2 polo shirts for dh, a work top for me, a dress for me for a wedding next weekend, a top for dd, several books, some leather bracelets for me, some badges and pink ballet tights for dd...

I am glad that tomorrow is Sunday and we'll not be near any sort of shops. :D

Inspired by greent's stay at centaurparcs, I went and had a mooch at some dates as dd has an extra day after half term. It'd cost us nigh on 700 squid for fri-mon. Ouch. So that's a 'no' then!

Dd and I have both had a quick trawl through our clothes and the Sally Army has had another 2 bagfuls today. We went to a different area from last time - only 6 ch shops here - but only bought a cardi for mum. Result.

And the big tesc0 had everything we were looking for. Phew. We were totally out of the gf df nuggets for dd - a staple of her teatime. We were getting a little worried about finding any anywhere.

And dd and I have been swimming - she can now 'happily' put her face in the water and even swim along a little under water - one-armed as she has to hold her nose! Must get her some nose clips... While we swam, dh took a carful to the tip - mostly garden waste - so the back gdn looks much clearer.

Thank you to tesc0 for paying for our tickets to Brighton Sea life centre. :D Just as well, as we were in there for less than 90 mins! But we had a nice day out adventurising together.

Tomorrow is a homework/paperwork sort of a day. Though dd wants to go swimming already...

Awake just before 5, no idea why, so I got up and warmed up and did ZCUT KB #2. 3 rounds took me 17m25, so I'm happy with that. All done with my 12k KB except 2 rounds of the squat + press. I decided to try using the 12k one on the 3rd round and was surprised that I could do it!

Ouch! It might be worth looking closer to the time - they have a very flexible pricing policy which seems to go up and down. I paid £1150 (from memory) for a 3 bed 2 weeks ago for Mon-Fri, which wasn't bad for August, I thought - I've paid that before for Feb. I'm guessing it was because it was a late booking (around 10 days before) It's certainly not a cheap place, hence why we spend so much time in the swimming complex (free :D) and take/ cook most of our food (we bought some ice creams as it was hot and a few portions of takeaway fries at the pool)

I quite like starts like that to my day - doesn't happen often, though! :D

Slight typo here - I woke just before 6!! Not 5!! It is a matter of principle that I stay in bed whilst the time starts with a 5...

Ooh yes! The mental difference between (say) 5.57 and 6.03am is huge! After 6 seems much more 'normal' :D Same for my sleep stats - if I show as having 5h 50m of sleep I seem to be much more tired than if I've managed 6h 5m (although I ideally like 6h 30 - 7h of sleep)

I went up and did an aldee shop and was home by 9.30. Dd was woken when I rang the doorbell and wandered downstairs a bit later as she'd thought it was a parcel being delivered!

Have talked to some very very nice people at BG and Bham council about closing accounts, etc. So all the utilities are now all sorted. And ultimately, it means that mum will have more in her account to be spent on her.

Have done a little admin that I have been ostrich-ing about. I know that I've only done the easy bits, but at least I have started. It must be done by the end of the month but next week is a busy one so I want to finish it sooner.

No school prep done yet. Ostrich approach is being applied... Or rather, I refuse to do it whilst I still have another 8 days off... And anyhow, my crafting is so much more fun to do!

Results day tomorrow so I'll toddle in to work. A colleague wants to go for a coffee and catch up after, and I find her very very hard work and need to only spend time with her in small doses, so I'm dragging dd along. Dd likes her, so it's not like it's a hardship for her. And then we'll go and collect her new specs which she is excited about.

So, finally got myself onto the website and saw my results before going to work. Am v relieved that all my group passed well. Phew! And I am well proud of them all.

Went into town then with dd and picked up her new specs, which she adores. The market gave me a big button to put on a cardi for mum. T1ger provided a picture frame for a friend plus 6(!) candles (even dh said they were gorgeous, so they must be good) and some small travel bottles/containers and a pair of yoga gloves (I find that I slip a little when on my hands and therefore do not relax fully, so this should help). The ch shop got me a cardi and a top, 2 forks for dd (our ones have really heavy handles and fall off the plate so easily that they keep ending up on the floor and her food gets spilt). The sm1ggle, BAB and the d1sney stores just got looked in , but the w0rks had 20!! cards for £1 and it would've just been rude not to...

We met up with my colleague for a coffee (in pret and I'd brought 2 re-usable mugs so we both got 50p off) and we chatted well. it was not as dire as I had expected, and was even rather enjoyable!

    Another £21.50 spent...

Now, I really must get on with reading the half blood prince again...
