A fantastic day. I have such a great bunch of cousins. Big sis couldn't make it, but niece + bf still came all the way down, which is admirable, esp as niece finished her shift at 3am and they caught the 9am train! All to get there for 2pm.
I got in a sainz shop first thing, to use a money off coupon, so topped up on gf/df for dd and some vegan bits for niece. The buses were running on 'infrequent' as I was so early, so I used the waiting time to nip to icyland and aldee for things on our list. Got the last 4 packs of gf/df hobnob-style biscuits for dd - result!
Travelling was a good 2 hours each way,but even Clapham junction couldn't thwart our smooth journey. And I chose to do nothing on the train, just look out of the windows. Dh thought I was most odd!
We are all tired out now and off to bed very very soon...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -

So, that is the end of Plan III.apple_muncher wrote: »Plan III - 12 weeks - June 11 until September 3 2017.
Health, wealth and a life well lived.
Health - I must lose weight. No more shillyshallying. I eat waaaay too much.
Wealth - I must open 2x savings accounts. The bank have sent us another letter suggesting we move some of the offset to savings, as we are more than 100% offset :rotfl:.
Life well lived - get out and about; socialise (eek); keep a balance; house - clear, clean, paint, sort lease, sell. Make the most of time with dd in the summer hols - visit big sis, visit my best friend when she comes over from Spain, go to the beach.
That'll do for now.
I think that the Life Well Lived section went the best. Especially that last 6 weeks when dd was also on holiday.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Plan IV ponderations:
Still looking at Health, Wealth and A Life Well Lived.
Health: weight, hands, right big toe, exercise, start running again?
Wealth: save up for Australia in August 18, keep paying down the mortgage, do something about/with my pension, keep tabs on all food spends
Life well lived: keep a balance, allocate tasks to a specific day (and time too if poss) instead of adding them to an interminable list, enjoy the days I don't work, keep on crafting and reading, enjoy my workNST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -

Indeedy! A wedding,no less:D. stepson is marrying an Ozzie and they'll settle there.
We need to decide just how much time we want to spend over there. It falls withing the school summer hols so we have a potential 5-6 weeks to play with. :j It will be costly, no doubt about it. But a chance to see step dd2 who currently resides in Melbourne. And step dd1 + gs should be there from Canada, the first time we will meet him since he was born back in May.
We have no idea of costs yet - I think we are in the 'ignorance is bliss' phase!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Sounds amazing. At least you have plenty of planning time.0

Thank you.
I read recently - think it was on the earlytorise website - about how really successful people do not have a to-do list; instead they allocate a task / item to a specific day or time. I have found that I get most done at work when I write in my planner when I'll do something and don't simply add it to my list. I don't aspire to be mega successful though!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0
