Gosh, but I'm glad work is over for today! My legs are sooo weary, I've done so much running around. Has been hard work.
Anyhow, the fudge went down well - the apples were less of a hit.
And tomorrow's jobs include:
- washing
- make optician appointment
- make soup
- make mayo
- hoover all over
- go to PO
- food shop
- school runs
- exam marking
- exercise
- sort through knitting unfinished bits
- knit 4 stripes
That's enough for now! Off to open pressies...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!1 -

Thank you for the birthday wishes. I enjoyed the day, knowing I had to wait til dh was home - as per dd's instructions - to open my presents!
I think that today's best mse action will be to pay that pesky mortgage down to below 72k. Sitting as £72,034.08, it is mocking me!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -

So, what's been done so far...
washing, soup, PO, food, school run, exam marking (yay, for now), exercise, sorting.
To do...
2nd school run, hoovering, optician appointment, knitting.
I was in for a delivery of stuff to mark - had to sign for it. Had a great chat with lovely delivery man who said he can sign it on my behalf if I'm out, and pop it through the letterbox. Brilliant! As I'm expecting about 8 more deliveries.
The workout was super tough - even by my standards! It took me over 24 mins. ZWOW #3, 3x
- 50 pendulum
- 20 full burpee
- 15 KB swing
- 10 push up with twist over and crab toe touch
- 5 prisoner squat
- 2 mins skipping.
I'm glad that's out of the way!
2 fishies finished, to take knitting up to 90/100 :T.
The charity shop was successful today - got me a pair of jeans and a lovely exercise top, both for £4. The best thing is that the jeans fit and hang right and need no alteration.
Off to mooch round mse for a bit, then get on with stripes.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Another NSD in the bag. :j
Another blue bottomed day finished - hopefully the last one...for a while at least.
Got extra gf bread with our order this time, I think. Am not complaining as they treated us q poorly last time. Fitting it all in the freezer/fridge is the only downside! In fact, we've only managed to squish it all somewhere cold - or at least cool - because I've put 3 loaves in a bag for a lovely friend.
Dd didn't go to sleep til about 9.30 last night, so I had no evening! No wonder she wasn't keen on waking up at 6.30am.
Started a list today - yep, yet another one - of 'what I would/could reduce/remove/cut back on, if I really really had to'. It's an interesting exercise and gives me free rein to include anything at all - be it an energy (and therefore penny) saver or simply making less waste.
I currently really really want the mortgage to start with a 6. That would require me finding an extra £500 this month. :rotfl:. And I only start with £1000, and expect/hope to end up with about £100 left over. So umless I accidentally pay over an extra £400 again, I think the 6....... will have to wait for the end of June.Oh well.
Tea is leftovers - curry, hm bhajis, sausages and mash and broccoli! Eclectic, no?
And my body is grateful for a day off exercise. Wait til tomorrow ...!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Looks like it's a warm, sunny day ahead...
My 'last' MFL exam is today - AS French. thereafter I should have no more to set up, nor many more situations that require me to run around like a loon. Famous last words...
Now is the time to start to plan for next year...but I'm not totally sure of which classes I'll have. We need another MFL teacher as I'm going down to 3 days (and I realise I am SO blessed in that I've been able/allowed to say that I want 3 days and I've simply been given them!), and it kind of depends on what that teacher can teach. if they are good for A level, then I promise to share that teaching! I guess it may also depend on what the person wishes to have - do they just want KS3 for example?
So, today I should have quite a bit of spare time, but it's the day where I rearranged a lesson so that I can leave 2 lessons early to get the girls and thus save childcare costs. Hmmm. Maybe I can use the time to tidy my room. Nope - not in there. Someone else is. I'm sure I can occupy myself!
Enough rambling nonsense! Time to get dressed and actually GO to work. If I'm good, I'll get in a 15 min walk before entering the premises...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Got my walk done. Plus ZWOW10 when home. Well done me! :T
Whilst on my walk, I was trying to discover a magical way to get another £500 this month. Not gonna happen! But have paid over two amounts - saved childcare costs from today, plus my 'cash stash' leftover a few months ago that I've not touched since. Go me! :j
Out for tea tonight - local Harvester - courtesy of easy-to-buy-for friend. Her treat, then it's her bday in 3 weeks, so my treat then!
Talking of bdays...and the £60 limit I set for 6 presents. Well, so far, so good. Presents from stash, so 'free' as I've no idea what they cost me; re-gifting a couple of things; and a few purchases so far. But another bday plus Father's day need adding to the mix! However, i'm not increasing the amount.....!
Work was not manic and I achieved some stuff. But also started many things yet to be completed...
Had a parcel waiting for me, from a lovely generous friend - masses of gorgeous-smelling lavender! Thank you!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Today is Friday :j. Phew! Let's see if I can complete some of the tasks I started yesterday... I can't even list them here as they are scribbled on a piece of paper/piled up at work!
We are interviewing for another French teacher on Mon, so I need to ensure I leave the room spick and span...
Dd is really struggling to wake up, so I think we'll just take our time and I'll get to work later than desired. Can't rush a 6 year old anyway!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0
