Thank you. I feel very sad at the moment. Things in my own life, and I always find 11/11 v hard, such a waste of life. Add in to that the recent tram fatalities nearby. Feeling maudlin and will be glad when tomorrow's remembrance service is done.

Dd and I went to dance then took 2 bags to the Salvation Army and had a mooch for bits and bobs for Christmas presents. She has been having a major book clearance, yet her bookshelves are still very full. We just have fewer piles of books around the place...

Dd's cardigan - the one I started some time last year - now has a back, 2 sleeves and 1-and-a-bit fronts. It may yet be finished in 2016...

Shoulder is still playing me up, knee is joining in. Am carrying excess weight but feel limited in what I can do due to my shoulder. But I can still run, so must get out and do that again, and keep on with the long walks.

A full day's work ahead. Yikes. The Inspectorate have been and gone and I have no clue as to how it went. Ignorance is good sometimes.

  • The inspectors were happy with us. Phew.

My working week is done for this week.

Over 17k steps (work, a run, pick up dd, pick up dd's friend, to or from brownies 3 out of 4 times) and 75 flights.

Big sis says dad's interment was lovely. So glad.

Up to 11 NSD so far this month.

May get some counselling next week.

Anyone have any experience of buying an annuity for care home costs?

Nowt to do with money, though.

    Long walks 6/13 + 1 run
    No sugar days 11/20
    No spend days 11/20
    Bags to charity 2/4
    Headspace 13/20
    To mum's 1/2
    Shoulder exercises 9/20

So, spot on for half way through the month.

Tomorrow dd is doing a class assembly, then I'm off to mum's / dad's again, with a focus on dad's house as priority. Anything done there is an achievement.

We had a spiffing journey, the traffic flow being as it should be on motorways. And were able to crack on with doing stuff.

Lovely friend was surprised at how long it took to clean just one part of the kitchen - a part we have already cleaned, just shows how mucky and ingrained the muck is. Little hoover did a valiant job sucking up several years of muck off the floor. Only managed the hallway though. I filled 5 bags of paper (still !) and 4 with rubbish and just the 1 with rags.

Today we shall return there and crack on once more. All that is sure is that there will be a break to go to aldee and buy lunch for us and a goodly supply of 85% choc for big sis.

It cheers my soul to see progress and clear spaces emerging.

And I spent a companionable evening with mum; big sis got to have a sleepover with friends; lovely friend had a quiet evening in the flat using the wifi.

Just popped in to catch up. Delighted with the nearly mortgage neutral. How fantastic is that. But so sorry everything else is tough at the moment. Chin up
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!
