Nice CS finds! :T
And hurrah for the end of 4 day working weeks! It seems like only the other day when you started them - this year is going by so fast :eek:a penny picker upper. MFW approx 78% to go | FIRE 3 years worth (30% savings rate: now aiming for 40%!) | Normality is a paved road; it's comfortable to walk, but no flowers grow on it | Whatever you're meant to do, do it now. The conditions are always impossible | The only thing you absolutely have to know, is the location of the library0 -
It feels like it has been f o r e v e r here! Even though since feb dh has taken on almost everything I was doing, especially this side of Easter. Roll on the end of it all! And have decided not to ask the school to use me for supply next year, as there is one child who is a major cause of major anxiety for me, who I still teach this year, but who I need to avoid as much as I can, for my own health. The possibility of having that class would be a silly thing to consider.
So, much less money in our pockets soon...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -

Definitely! I'll also bottle it and sell it and make a fortune....NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
£278.
2 pairs of varifocal glasses.
Gulp.
Dh got his glasses mended, after sitting on them whilst trying to sort out why the Polly pocket racetrack wasn't quite perfectly aligned (easy answer: I was the one who assembled it!)
Dd got her glasses swapped for another free pair, as they sit funny on her ears and hurt her.
Holl and Barr yielded up some half price bath bombs +body wash for a friend's bday.
Th0rnton's yielded 5 boxes of chocs for £20 (3 boxes would have been £15, so we effectively got one box free!) as 'thank yous' to the lovely people who helped me pack my stuff up when camping, put it all by my car and then took the tent down. Without them, I may well still have beeen there now...
Got 59 scripts marked (ie 118 essays in foreign)and marks uploaded.
Still couldn't face even opening emails today. So I shall have to swallow that frog tomorrow. But I have deleted a few - although nowhere near greent's 600 :T. I think it was 5....:rotfl:
Woke up to hurting hands and feet. Harumph. Think I caused it by manoeuvring dh's very heavy and unwieldy bag into the car last night when we picked him up. Won't be doing that again in a hurry... He can carry his own bag next time!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -

Combatting overwhelmedness is a total fail thus far today...
I was finally mentally ready to jump back in to moderating. Let's just say that it took the exam board a WEEK to reply to my urgent queries, and then I received 2 differing answers
Another two even urgenter enquiries have yet to be answered - I feel like throwing in the towel. Epic fail on their part thus far.
More emails have been sent today...
So, in order to try to assuage the rising flood of teary panic, I did another tick list and sorted out the fully-totally-completely-finished-with-all-the-paperwork-also-done-ones, which is actually 80% of them.
On a more positive note: the marking is going well and I hope to finish it today or tomorrow.
The tent outer is dry, just needs folding - eek. Chairs and dd's ready bed are all aired, just my campbed to go, when there's space.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Marking is complete and all marks uploaded. Just need to do some forms but have asked for help as they look far too simple!
Tent is folded up, so just need to put the chairs back in their bags.
Have had a short walk with dd - otherwise I would have hardly moved today. Still a very low number of steps, but am having a feeble phase.
Bacon and egg for tea. Yum!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0
