Once today is over, the week 'should' get better for dd as I take her to school tomorrow and dh on Thurs, I pick up thurs and do both runs on Fri.
Teaching almost all done; some photocopying done to get ahead of myself; pupils chivvied about returning forms for Lille trip; almost ready to run out at the bell to take dd to cheerleading (having remembered to park the car on the far side of her school, ready for tomorrow...).
Only a group of y9s stand between me and freedom... Wonder who will emerge triumphant...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
I won! :T
Home in time to take dd +2 to cheer. Then on to sainz to buy bread for dd. She is suddenly eating a lot - for her, anyway, and although we put in the repeat presc, it was only yesterday, so could take up to 10 days to come through. 2 loaves + ys pig livers. I know how to shop...
Anyhow, armed with my runnjng shoes and sports bra, I got to sainz and home with a mix of jogging and walkjng, so am well chuffed with myself.:D
Well over 10k steps, a jog, grain- and sugar-free.
Pupils now begging for the alphabet song! It lasts 2 mins so is a perfect end-of-lesson packing up song!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -

I keep thinking that I should read things elsewhere - pensions, retirement etc - but it's so lovely and friendly here!I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £200 -
yeah some of the other boards can be a bit scaryMade it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!0 -
No interweb at home.
Moved from fast to super duper fast and the super duper fast people didn't confirm to the fast people what was going on, so the fast people cut us off! And it will take them 7 days to raise it with the right people...
However, they can come and re-connect us to the fast.
At least, that is my understanding of dh's explanation...
Tomorrow I have a Governor morning at dd's school, ending at 12.30, then the man to reconnect us is coming between 1 and 6pm. Oh. There goes my day!
Still doing it all in cash this month. Still feel it is like trying to hold water in my hands.
Made 5 hanging holly leaves with berries, and am now on white hanging stars - 2 so far.
3 more lessons and then my half term starts. Have to come back tonight for an info evening, but that is part and parcel of the job.
Not that I'm counting, but approx 8 days from now is key-acquisition day...
Food shop won't happen tomorrow unless internet man comes early, so I may get another NSD!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
I hope the internet gets sorted out quickly! (As a bonus, perhaps it'll fuel the lodgers to leave more efficiently

dss didn't go to uni as his laptop was being delivered. And he offered to stay in in the pm for the internet man, so I took him up on it. And we now have web access. Prob not long emough without it for them to feel desperate to move out though!
I went to the library, the bank, the ch shops (just 2 - and omly spent 50p) and the local coffee shop and aldee. Spent 21 there.
Arrived home at 2.20 and decided that I had time to make some cherry bakewells! Got the pastry cases baked and the marzipan in them whilst warm, just before I had to run out of the door. Thank goodness we live so close to the school.
Dd said she wanted to go to the library, so we trundled back up there and she got her quota of books. I'm over 17k steps today - and haven't made a particular effort, being stuck on 3k at midday.
6 hanging stars completed. Now I need something to do at tomorrow's dance classes... Dh is doing the PA at a wedding so is gone from 9ish until mid-afternoon, so it'll be a dd and me day.
I am now on half term - 2 weeks of it. Even if they are around for all of it, they should at least be out every weekday.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Enjoy your half term, apple - fingers crossed for some lodger free time

Dh went off to do PA, on the bus. Dd and I went to dance, and she graciously allowed me to go to the ch shops down the road to look for a cat costume for her(!), so long as I was back to help her change between classes... I wore my running shoes... And I found a cat costume in the last shop. So, for 2.95, dd has a costume - all black but with a pink chest/tummy - that she loves. Result.
Have washed the shower curtains as they are becoming rather skanky with the constant showering going on here, and never quite drying out in between soakings. However, it seems that a 30° wash aint gonna shift the skank.... May have to ask lovely neighbour to do a wash on 60° in her machine...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0
