Dd spent over an hour tonight doing her knittjng. She still has the 20 syitches I cast on for her, and is constantly amazed that the knittjng is getting bigger! I am amazed at how quickly she has taken to it and how accurately she is able to do it.

I've made 5 hanging felt trees (acyually 6, but dd comandeered one!) and cut out 4 more - that i s all I have buttons for. I'm using star ones and hlittery one - both from habibiboo - and pretty glower ones and spotty ones from the W0rks ,I think.

Took out another £50 today to cover the sew machine and tarkwondo suit later in the week. Yesterday'd £80 has disappeared!

Today I did spemd 3.90 on 2 coffees and 4.70 in the ch shop: stretchy hairbands, trajners for dd to grow into, 4 bks for advent. And almost 2 in aldee. So thst's nearly 11. Hmmm. Plus 42 yesterday. Where did the other 27 go...?? Let me know if you find it...!

11 in my purse, so down to 13 to find...

Dh is on PA today and dd wanted to do kids klub and go in with daddy, so off they went an hour ago. I just needed to be at home - despite having people upstairs - and to do a few things. I've swept the floors and posted 2 things on gumt, but tha's about all!

Off to aldee in 10 mins to see about that sewing machine... The walk will do me good as the sun is shining.

Got the sewing machine and sparkly purple wool for dd, and milk. I was the first one at the tills!!

Once home, I decided to go out again for a walk - about 2+ miles out and back. But when I got to the turnaround bit I opted to go up the bridlepath and make it a much more substantial walk. I even ran some of it! Took an hour and I am v glad I did it as the visitors have no plans for the day so won't be going out. And are watching some car racing thingy on the telly.

So I have made lunch for when dh returns, and retired to hide upstairs. Will venture down to get the secret knitting now...

ps: spent 13.99 on sewing machine, 3.49 on wool (on impulse), and 89p on milk. This is out of the 50 I took out yesterday.

I came very very close to buying a beautiful sewing box for dd - just a fabric covered one, but the owl design was irresistible. It was 9.99. I still consider it a joyful item, but not at that price... Maybe...

Last week before half term. Dd struggled again last night and does not want to go to school. Unfortunately she doesn't have a choice in the matter.

    Hopefully an NSD ...

A full day ahead where my 1 free period has been allocated to some y11-into-sixth-form taster session. However, I MUST do some Lille paperwork. And teach, hopefully to a decent standard... Already seems overwhelming.

Full of joy this morning!! Sorry

Thank you PM. So far, so good. Mostly due to the alphabet song on utube by Alain le Lait.

Lunchtime being spent in my room, which sits over the main hall, where there is a mega massive mahoosive drumming session going on. All lunch time. At least there is no accompanying catterwauling... (sp?)

A pile of books to mark are sitting looking at me in a very accusatory sort of way... 6 mins to go, wonder how many of them i can do...

Got all the y7 books done. Go me! But not in the 6mins. I'm not quite that fast. Yet...!

All in all, a good day at work.

Have finished 9 hanging tree tree decs and started on holly. Can't quite get it right yet, but only enough red buttons for about 6, so shall persevere. I'm getting about 45mins - 1 hour on them on the days when dd and I do a crafting time before bed.

Another NSD in the bag and 10k steps and 7 veg and grain- and sugar-free.
