Dh is baking me a cake and buying some rib eye steak for dinner tomorrow. Yum yum!
No moderating today. Don't see how I can get any done, but am twitchy!!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
I have made pancakes that are thicker than the cake mentioned above... Smothered in whipped cream, it should be edible...

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Gotta love him for trying :rotfl:
I got a mystery box today. Jelly completely adores her 'WHITE MIM MIM!!!' and I cried at the card. Thank you so much. I am going to fill your box and send it back, don't tell DD
I love the fabric on that mim mim. I want him to sleep in my bed!
Love you woman xxx

Mim mim is for you - unless you want the talking Upsy Daisy... The lavender robin's for you too. Sorry we made you cry!
And, just what are you doing up at this time, missie???
I'm one to talk, as I woke myself up with dreams - about butterflies, so rather nice ones - and then ponderations and cogitations about working 5 days for 2 and a half terms, concluding that mentally and emotionally and physically I can't face it. And I don't think dd would cope with it either. So, just afyer 3am, I wrote an email about it, and will go and see the relevant person later on.
So, it is my bday and I get to spend it with some y11s, running their French gcse listening paper. Lucky me!
As a treat, I may stop at a certain ch shop on the way homw, and look for more purpley, lavendery coloured fabric. I know how to enjoy myself...!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -

^^^^^ Sounds like my kind of day, can I come??

Thank you MeandO.It has indeed been a day of lovely fabric as my sister gave me a bagful of crafting bits. The cake and steak are on hold at the mo as dh isn't home yet. But I have washed up so that he can then use every single utensil in the kitchen as he makes a meal of making a meal!!!!!
You are more than welcome to join us - little O too - he can eat whatever he want to when here. 'Fussy' eaters (ie our kiddies with genuine reason to be wary about food) are not pushed into consuming anything they don't want to.
I don't sell the bunnies online - haven't worked it out! But if you pm me your email, I can try sending some pics. The pics don't always do the bunnies justice, but they'd give you an idea of what they are like.
5 mins until I have to get tea for dd and get her to do some spellings.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
I 'treated' myself to a wander round 4 ch shops today. I was looking for lavendery fabric, but came away with 2 pairs of summer trousers. Spent £5. Not bad.
Steak dinner was absolutely wonderful. And ai turned dh's pancake-flat cake imto special cakes, cutting out circles and stcking them with lots of whipped cream im between.
I arrived home to a bix box from m&s. Step kiddos had organised a delivery of flowers for me. Womderful flowers! And lovely neighbour benefitted too as there were 5 stems of lilies, and I can't habe them in the house becaude I find the pollen far too nauseating and overwhelming. Lillies are her fave flower. So we both win!
Tomorrow I have arranged for a redelivery - needs signing for. No idea what it is. If it is a cemtre sending me their marking then I am simgularly unimpressed with them. So I may be in the house all day - yawn! Postman usually comes by 11, so am hoping it will be delivered so I can get out and do my shopping.
Last week I didn't buy a white cotton cardi mor a black jacket from a ch shop. If they are still there, I'll be gettimg them. Some current clothes do not bring joy. Worn on their own, some trousers are fine. Then add a top and/or shoes, and it just looks and feels awkward. Can't really go to work wearing only a pair of trews. Or not wearing any. So out they shall go amd I need to get a replacememt pretty quick
Talked to timetabler today - about the 3am email. All ok. Will do 4 days when covering the mat leave and drop to 2 when she returns for rest of the year. Much better.
Tomorrow's jobs:
- cheerlead
- wait for redelivery
- workout?
- aldee, sains, PO, ch shop if time
- mow front
- 5 lavender bags
- moderate 2 cemtres
- do thank yous
- colojrs wash
- knit for dd's friend - party is on sat. Urgent!
- cut out more matching mini bunnies. Ooh, this means I get to lay them all out on the floor again! Summer fair is July 4th: about 53 days. Do I have ejough stuff? Or do I need to go into ultra mega mode? Will start by spreading it all out on the floor!
Hurrah - dd is asleep. Now to extricate myself from the duvet and head downstairs.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Happy birthday you gorgeous soul. Kept that blimmin quiet. *marks diary*
I don't think I am getting mim mim... :rotfl: - Jelly keeps proudly showing off 'Look I have two mim mims'I will take it when she is no longer a fan of teddies and then it shall be doubly wonderful
xx
Lots of love and huggles to you. xxxx

The ch shop was amenable. The black jacket had gone, but I was unsure of it anyway; the cardi was still there and I got another one - plum coloured and also 100% cotton for £1 - total: £5.50.
Once up at the shops I realised I'd not brought the parcel and letter, so have just cycled to the PO down the road to do them. Aldee shop was good - so much busier than when I go in at 8.15am though. Spent pennies on stuff for work - you usually take in cakes/chocs when it's your bday. And usually, i can't eat any of them. So I'm taking in grapes, plum tomatoes (not tinned ones!) and midget gems. Ha. Then i can eat it all!!!!!!!!!
Moderating has gone so smoothly today. I love it when centres simply do what they should do, fill in all the paperwork and stick to the script. It's when they dont' that the time gets swallowed up in trying to rectify it. So, have done my 2 centres - yay!
Front grass has just been mown - rain due tomorrow so better to get it done than have it grow to jungle height and have all the local cats and foxes use it for their business.
Right. 20 mins till I get dd. Downstairs is full of gubbins, so i shall ignore the fact that it needs tidying and that the washing up needs doing. And I shall do the last bit of paperwork for this centre.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0
