Go for it, Alchemilla! I set myself - occasionally - a 12 week plan and give it a bold name. With bold'goals. Some weeks are better than others, but I usually finish in a better place than the start.
I also try to ADD THINGS IN instead of deny myself. Don't always manage it, but it helps me. For example: to eat x veg, or x instead of sugar. And I note down which goals/aims I achieved each day.
I'm helped this time by deciding to cycle to work 1 day a week, possible upping it to 2 once study leave arrives. And by finding my lovely zshred on utube - 30 workouts to do in 12 weeks should be doable! If I exercise regularly, I temd to make better eating choices.
So, go for it girl!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -

Likewise. I nearly died on the machine at the Docs on Monday. But it was a wake up call, as was my Dr telling me diet would help my migraines, so here I go plodding down the diet road. Can't say it is easy and you have to be fiercely motivated so if you really want to, go for it, but if it more of a passing wish.. wait until you get a kickstart from somewhere.
Apple - very pleased. And exercise releases good hormones which clear your brain and clear sugar cravings toohence the better choices so well done you for sticking with it! Exercise makes me eat like a horse and I tend to let myself get so hungry I overeat and eat the wrong things. Now I can't exercise except walking and this I do lots of so maybe that will help me keep in control!

I know were meant to be saving money on this forum but I got a garmin vivosmart for Xmas. No matter how much you walk it increases you target a bit each day. I'm no good at controlling chocolate intake but a few wee walks on lunch breaks etc and the steps add up. You can link it to an app where you type in the food you've eaten and it counts the calories.Mortgage balance Feb 2015 start of MFW Journey-£245316.06/Aim to be mortgage neutral 2022 — Target for May 2024 14 Year Target Balance MF50 = £89,535 — Mortgage Balance £106, 000—Target for May 2024! £89,535

Today is done. Some new info gleaned at work but it is in the hands of those higher up the food chain, so I shall thoroughly enjoy not thinking about it u til they get back to me.
Tomorrow looms full of promise...:
- school rum
- get dentist appt for dd
- whites wash
- lavender shenanigans
- make fairy cakes
- make big pizza/pastry base
- do the ironing that dh had the temerity to not do yesterday, tee hee
- re-mark that frog
- do other marking frogs so I can start next week without a long to do list
- library
- sweep
- hoover
- 15 min email cull
- knitting
- unstitch paddington
Now, wouldn't it be good to get it all done while dd is at school...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -

School rum sounds like fun!!
Unstitching Paddington not so fun, in fact a little barbaric... I hope you have anaesthetic at hand... or is that what the rum is for???:p

The list got so long this morning that I re-wrote it differently.
So school RUN done (tee hee to rum!), got dd a dentist appt for Mon, got a bagful of bargains at coop (funny, they have gd YS in the morning?!), did the re-marking and 90% of associated paperwork, dropped dd's presc in at the dr, came home via the library, hung out washing, did some more paperwork, did zshred #6 (resulting in a tomato-coloured face!), massacred paddington (took me 2 painful years to make and he ended up being called sparkle and I had to put bright pink hair on her! Not sorry to kondo him/her at all!), and had a veggie-heavy lunch of 8 raw veg doused in evoo + balsamic with a hefty dollop of ham.
Smug face is on because I didn't drop ANY food down me!
So, off to create a pud of sorts then settle to the next attack on the paperwork. And before I know it, it'll be school run time!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Paddington/Sparkle has yielded up a LOAD of stuffing that is marginally better than the pillow I rejected. So I am using it to happily stuff bunny limbs and bodies, and snowmen whilst watching the next few zshred. Not sure I like what's ahead...!!!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0

Dd's pesky squiffy front tooth is out! Hooray! Can now cancel that dentist appt. It came out in the playground and they couldn't find it. But we all know that that will present no problem at all for the tooth fairy...
3 full bunnies + 1 snowman have been stuffed from paddington so far. And I still have to operate to open up the head...
Just totted up my YS savings from this morning and what was originally over £14, I got for £5.60. Duck legs were the best bargain and are now in the freezer. And cauli, plums, grapes, pears, watercress, spinach and cherry toms. Not bad.
Some shoes for dd arrived from online but she DOESN'T LIKE THEM. Ya boo hiss. So tomorrow morning she and I are off in one direction to buy a Syl Fam thingy from a gumtree person, then go on a bit more that way to m+s to get her some shoes (significantly cheaper than clarkks and of similar quality), then right back in the opposite direction for dance classes. And home to breathe by midday.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Dd and I have accomplished all the big tasks, but are both weary and fighting off colds. However, she now has a pair of school shoes - yippee! Thank you m&s, and I hope they last longer than all the others.
I know I'm fighting something off (apart from sneezing, rummy nose, weariness!) because I'm craving sugar. Grrr. Have managed 10 veggies, so not bad! So, I shall not be at church tomorrow and dd won't be at kids klub. We can therefore watch the marathon!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0
