Yes, welcome home.
Glad you got through Atlanta airport ok.
I find strange airports to be very worrying.
I've only ever had direct flights, so I've never yet had to change planes. I think I'd be very perplexed about it!Early retired - 18th December 2014

Thank you Alchemilla and Goldiegirl. It is so good to be home. Next time we go, we'll look at direct flights, and if we can't get one, then we'll certainly allow more transfer time!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0

23.15. That is the time I can confidently say that dd was asleep. Not a good night! She had a total hysterical meltdown at 8pm and was simply inconsolable. It just came out of the blue, but I guess we can attribute it to jetlag for now. I have to wake her in 10 mins for school, poor mite.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0

helloooo everyone! Wrote a longish post at lunchtime then forgot to press the magic button so it timed out. It was a good one too, i'm sure!!
Dd had a good day at school despite so little sleep. No meltdown yet, but there's still time as she's not yet asleep... Pesky child really should be worn out...
Did zshred #2 - ooph! Tomorrow I shall go for a bike ride. I 'need' more pillowcases for bunnies so may bike to the ch shops that usually sell them for 25p. It's about 4 miles each way and more or less flat, so a good starter to this year's cycling.
It is a lovely feeling to know that I'm not at work tomorrow. Am trying hard to relax and not fret to complete my list of jobs. In facr, I changed the title of my list from 'monday' to 'momday onwards' and immediately felt better for it. I did do the marking, so feel chuffed for swallowing that particular frog. Tomorrow I could do with tackling a remark of the speaking tests...maybe...but it needs doing by next Mon so the sooner it is out of my hair, the better.
Cut out 5 bunnies and ironed all the bits before dd + friend 'needed' the ironing board. So I have 7 bunnies cut out.
2 loads of washing got done, and 1 more for tomorrow. Spilling a beaker of milk isn't a good idea, ever.
Have managed a grain and sugar free day, as well as NSD and a workout. 'Only' 9 veg, so can't count that however noble it may be! £4 to the pot.
I have also done my 100KB swings.
Dare I say that I think dd is asleep? Will give her 5 more mins...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Swallowed a frog first thing, which is good as it had been hanging over us. Came to a happy resolution.
Got out on the bike too - 7 miles with a rather strong headwind for almost all the way back (along a pretty straight road, so no respite). The ch shops yielded 3 books for dd, 2 vest tops for me, and a coat for me - reduced to £1 and I do really like it! - and 2 pillow cases.
Have sewn up several bunny limbs, bodies and ears. Now to turn them the right way round and stuff them.
Dd had fun playing out after school and enjoying the sunshine. I've been in my shorts all day.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Am on an exercise roll! Zshred #3 done + warm up and cool down. And I've already done over 13k steps! Took dd + friend to cheeleading, walked to AND from aldee, walked to and from Sains.
Got myself a red cotton cardi for £1 and some size 11 sparkly pumps for dd to grow into, also £1. And sains had 3x 'my' hair dye for £10 or £6 each. So I got 3, but I reckon they'll soon stop doing that brand, as that often happens with these offers.
Have finished the 2nd Hunger Games book and am eager to start the third! Must try to ration myself...
So... off to dye hair and shower then grab lunch.
Dd has a little friend back after school so I really need to do some tidying up. And the washing up. And hoover. I may offer to make them a den in the garden: climbing frame + rotary washing line + a couple of sheets, all attached with plenty of pegs.
I can do bunnies while they are here.
And tomorrow I really really must re-mark the speakings... Really really REALLY!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Finished the 2 snowmen. Not sure I'll do more yet...
And 8 bunnies are ready to be turned the right way out, stuffed, limbs sewn up and sewn on, eyes and noses added.
Weather is set to change tomorrow and become much chillier. I made 16k steps today. Tomorrow I may use the buses to take a Sally Army bag. Or 2 if I'm feeling adventurous! Or wait until I'm out and about with dh on Fri, as Fri will imvolve spending and I really need to get my NSD count up, and taking a bag to SA usually involves a look around the ch shops...
Hmmm. Maybe just a library visit - free - then, to grt some steps in, and possible kondo-ing of trousers... And bunny stuffing...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Loving the fact that you're on Xmas production of snowmen whilst the weather is beautiful outside! Can't say I miss that forward planning involved with selling stuff - I used to end up running around like the proverbial blue **sed fly trying to ensure I had enough stock - so well done to you for such forward planning and organisation

I did the library trip, kondo-ed my trousers first thing, stuffed just 8 bunny limbs, but finished book 3 of the Hunger Games. And still made the school run on time.
My legs are well achey today, the achiness that makes them seize up each time you get up from sitting!
And I cleaned about half of the insides of the windows.
All in all a quiet day.
Tomorrow:
- travel to local town where there is a weightrose and look at their gf food and possible coconut flour
- visir various shops in yhe vicinity with dh
- maybe take 2 bags to SA
- fold aand put away clothes so big sis has some bed space tomorrow night
- sweep
- washing
- plan a veggie tea - mabe AGCJ's veggie beanie burgers
- cull emails and maybe read a few...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0
