Well, we did it!
The £ emporium gave us 2x dates, 5x school bars, orange wool (3 for 2) (to knit fox gloves) and 2x bath bombs as a present for dd's friend = £11
W1lk0 - compost for £2 (I spent aaages working out that it was much better to buy 2x 15litre compost than £4 for a coir thingy that you add water to that makes 'up to 15litres') and a hydrangea. Total £7
T1ger - the himalayan salt that I use for my face/body scrub = £1
The w0rks - got me a Keto slow cooker cook book = £6 (better use it now!)
Ch shops: dd spent £10 on teeny tiny dolls house bits + £5 on a metal gramaphone that is also a pencil sharpener but will look great in the d. house, plus a couple of books and a dvd. All her own money. I now give her £20 per month and she has to buy any ch shop things herself (unless it's needs). Today she spent her bday money, I think.
I got a pair of grey cords and a white tee shirt = £2. And a pair of lined gloves for dd for on her bike = £1.
We did stop off for more ch shops on the way home, but didn't go into a coffee shop.
And, the reason we went into town at all was to collect the swim goggles for dh and I. We now have a £5 voucher to spend in sp0rts d1rect and it is valid for 2 years!
All in all, I have spent under £30.

I've been making scrubs ...that salt sounds a bargin. Will pop in and check out next time I'm near one.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!0 -
That was a great shopping trip, apple! Well done

Today I have been for a waddle. Ooph.
We are going near NO shops today, after yesterday's 15!
I plan for dd to do her hwk and for me to get on with my sch prep. We'll see what really happens...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
So far, we have had breakfast in bed - but lunch downstairs.
Dd's pyjama day changed course when her friend called for her, so the rest of the day will be spent playing out on bikes in the sunshine.
I have made 2 smaller loaves, using a mix BBE sometime in 2016. I'm glad I made 2 small ones as dd loves the ends - she had 2 for lunch! I also made savoury keto bread ensuring it was totally dairy free, but dd didn't like the smell of it. Ah well, I LOVE it. Then I had a go at cheesy savoury scones - again fully df.
Dd is back outside and I'm lunching on hm colesalw + avocado, with time team on the telly. Or the 2008 4K thread onmy tablet (yep, stillllll working my way through it!) Happy times.
Ooh, and I also paid 228 off the mortgage, now that we have to pay interest on most of it again.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -

Indeed, karma!
How have I lived for 50 years without swimming goggles????? They are totally amazing. I can see underwater. And see clearly!
Dd is also wiped out. We should both sleep like logs tonight...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Cor, I was a right twitchy log... Weird dreams... Awake just before 6... Had not set an alarm and dozed until dh got up at 7...
Then a really lazy day! Dd only got dressed to come to icyland with me where I bought a lot of veg and a pack of flying saucers. And we caught the bus there and back!
I did do 2x laundry and put all the dry clothes away, washed up, made lunches and teas. I tried to do some school work but couldn't load the website I need.
We're off to Lunnon town tomorrow with a friend of dd's. Westminster - past the Eye - carousel - back across river to Traf Square - poss up to Hamley's - Green Park - Buck Palace - home? The main thing is that the girls enjoy themselves without getting too weary. I shall be raiding the £2 pot so that they can do what they want.
On fri, big sis is travelling from here to the IOW to visit a cousin. Dd is talking about us going too. I have pointed out that it's about 4 hours each way. Yet she still requests 'can she decide on thurs eve'!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
You're in Lunnon right now, then! Or nearly
