    Arrived home – broadband account suspended – set to be paid with my visa! Paid with my switch card so got that working again.

    Phoned that number I gave out above to get my visa card reinstated. They asked where I got the number told them it saved me 25 minutes on the phone as they answered almost immediately. They cannot reinstate the card but they will issue a new visa classic card which will take 5 – 10 days to arrive. Oh and they will give me £10 back whoopee.

    I’m really mad that they can do this it seems very sharp practice. I would go elsewhere for a card but the club card points is a good deal. I’m going to write and complain and the address I got was Customer Concern, Tesco, Thanet Green, Westcliff on Sea, Essex, S0 0EJ

    Is the address correct? Not a good week for Tesco.

    thanks for that address. I'll be sending them a nice long letter very soon too. I'm just waiting to see what the outcome of my situation is - we're still without our credit cards 10 days after they were put on emergency order. no sign as yet .

    OK so it's now over 2 weeks since Tesco 'actioned' an emergency card to be couriered to us. Ad yet still it hasn't arrived.
    I rang Tesco today (yet again! That on-hold music ....argh!) to be told that SMS Couriers had delivered it on Tuesday 4th September. Erm - no they didn't, as special arrangements were in place at our end to receive the card ALL WEEK. No courier called at all.
    So now what, in this farcical saga? Tesco are going to have to cancel those cards and start a reissue process. So we wait a further XX days... who knows if we'll ever get our cards?
    We've been offered compensation of £75 but now that barely covers the cost of all the phone calls never mind anything else!

    A word to the wise, avoide tesco personal finance like the plague....and SMS Couriers!

    UPDATE : We were promised £75 compensation plus a hamper - guess what? they credited our account with £50.
    can they get nothing right???????? :mad:

    Did you at least get the hamper?

    As a Tesco CC holder of around 9 years I'm surprised I haven't had anything about mine changing to MC. I always pay mine off each month too.

    I'm quite glad really!
