  • aw thanks Crafting Mad. Was good to get rid of a lot of my stash but unfortunately it's just the tip of the iceberg. I am going to start making things for next Christmas in January as there was so much I wanted to do but left it too late. Been asked to make 8 table gifts for a New Years Day Meal (in Scotland lol) so it's whisky miniatures etc. They supplied the miniatures but want me to put a little gift together. Did look for the mini pieces of coal today but none to be found locally. Will obviously use some tartan ribbon too but really quite stumped. Any suggestions would be most welcome. Thanks.
    If I had known then what I know now . . .

    Hi my busy bees.

I've got a bit more done.

    Thank you card

So the cards used glue, ribbon, card, mirri, foam pads, toppers and envelopes.

And I made 2 wee aprons for granddaughter, to protect her party clothes - used up 2 fat quarters for fronts, some fabric scraps for backs, thread (obviously, lol), but I had to buy bias binding and some lace for the frilly one. Well I didn't HAVE to buy the lace .....

    Hello everyone,

Getting closer - one to go

    Band 16

    and the wee close up
    106E1878_zps8512c7f0.jpg

This band contained ray stitches, jessica stitches, diamond rhodes stitches and lattice stitches. Yes, they are not to pattern - done a wee variation of my own.

So well on track for finishing by end of year. If I don't get on before Christmas - Merry Christmas one and all.

    Kind wishes to all,

    sweetcarer ;)

    Gosh sweetcarer that's lovely :)
Second row in from the right though - is that a row of spiders?

    Lovely things greentiger :D

Have given DS his quilt and he likes it, phew :rotfl:

Local nursery is taking all my fabric scraps - does that count as stash busting? I would have thrown them away otherwise (they're all small, e.g triangles cut off after joining jelly roll strips on the diagonal) but they love them :D

Have a happy, busy, stash busting Xmas all

Merry Christmas to all. Been a crazy busy few weeks - can't wait for an actual day off where I can do nothing except maybe a bit of cleaning- which will now be about Jan 4th. I can't believe I'm looking forward to a ay to spring clean.

Been having a busy day and am now aching...Did all the bottling up -and decided not to set anyhing off befoe Christmas.

Got one bottle of rum - cherry
Three bottles of brandy - cherry
Four bottles of vodka - damson.
(one of these did go in a new bottle as it was a gift for the person who told us about the cherries at the golf club - so he can put it in the raffle - he also got a hip flask too)... All the others were in receycled bottles for home use... And I did have to buy some special sterilizer fluid - but it may have been problematic if i hadn't...

so 7 to add from them...

I have to admit I have been bought lots of craft bit for Christmas - but am resolutely not buying anything now until new years when I have met this target... hahahaha
