I haven't quite got the hang of this stash-busting lark have I :rotfl:This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
I cut up an old dress and made the bodice bow and lining for a dress for my granddaughter (and one for teddy, of course!). I used up some ribbon too. I did have to buy thread, organza and net to finish it, lol. If I hadn't bought this I wouldn't have got rid of the other stuff :A

I have another 7 to add to my total...
One book with a load of old scraps - all sorts of random bits I have had for years...
It's not glam but it was a good scrap buster...
Then 6 tags - again used up bits that had been sitting round for ages... They have little bits of watch and loads of lace on them...

I must confess I have had to buy a load of bits but I did use masses. Must have made at least 300 items for selling at a couple of craft fayres and to friends. Made cards, Mistle Toe Kisses, Merry Kissmass and a Chappy New Year, Elf Kisses, Reindeer Food, Snowman/Princess/ Monkey soup. Used some jars too for M & M jars etc. Even took in at least 500 items from my stash to use at the school I work in - mostly partly used peel-offs, little paper embellishments and die-cut labels and gingerbread men. De-stashed loads but doesn't even make a little dent in the supplies. If I had known then what I know now . . .

I can declare 3 more items towards my totals.
I made a best teacher coaster, candle and a teacher survival box for a Christmas present for my one of my son's teachers. She really is lovely and so though she deserved more than the others.
These have stash busted:-
1 x coaster
PVA glue
Sticky Label sheet
Red Glitter
Candle
Small amount of tissue paper
Small amount of greaseproof paper
Cello Wrap
Ribbon
A5 sheet of cardstock
Cardboard takeaway box
2 x googly eyes
small piece of string
I've also got 3 more coasters drying for the rest of his teachers but wont declare them until they are absolutely finished
Now I have to tidy up my craft room a bit as it looks like we have had an explosion!!!Mortgage - £2338.07 paid off Feb 2023 BTL 1 £51,089.10 £35789.36 paid off July 2025 BTL 2 £81,504.52 BTL 3 £77,497.020 -
Well done everyone!! I have been making Christmas a birthday cards for the last two days, so that has made a tiny amount of headway, plus another two orbals (using up all of the old Christmas cards and some paper scraps), and I have given a box of randomness to a friend with a four year old who loves crafting so that should keep her busy for a while!0

I have finally managed a productive crafty day.
I have made 5 calendars (so counting as 60 items as 12 pages on each) and decorated two tea-light candle holders for the teachers gifts plus the three coasters I started yesterday are finally finished.
So I'm declaring a massive 65 more items towards my totals
I haven't actually used a massive amount of stash to make them but at least I have actually been using my existing stash and I have managed to make 7 Christmas presents as a bonus
I have even found time today to go to my son's Christingle service and will be going to my daughters carol service this evening
Hoping to have another crafty morning tomorrow

Me again. I have just been asked for 4 soap gift sets from a mum at school so can add another 4 to my total.
All made using my existing stash
