Well I completed the dresser before the halloween housewarming... (I did have to buy the varnish for it before reaching my target though).
The party went well - as did the clear down (my fellas best friend dried all the pots and was great at getting him up)... I even managed to do some crafting while staying at the MIL's caravan.. I put together the wreath for Halloween i didn't have time to complete before the party - i had no other use for the tinsel ghost wreath or the fabric that had been earmarked for it and figured that it would save me time next year...
So after reaching 50 (my total) I caved....
I will be setting a new total for the end of this year... (Another 20 til the end of December)...
I bought some card stock - planning to make Christmas crackers - MIL has the Die I need to borrow for my sissix. (also bought card blanks etc fromt eh same shop)... £8
I purchase two half meters of fabric for Christmas bunting... £4.50 altogether... One cotton one plycotton... Have started the bunting since returning from holiday. And used up stash on this too...
Ribbons - lots of them for £6.40
Twp packs of feathers (only 50p each couldn't resist) and a pack of tags - £2
I figured it was holiday spending - and I had made my total (just)...
As soon as I find the flex for the camera I will upload pics - I forgot to take any of the dolls and decs from the party - but will try to get some emailed to me to put up...
Off to finish the bunting now... And maybe a few cards...

Gosh nimbo you've been busy!
I've finally finished DS quilt so I can count that as 1!
Also opened 2 jelly rolls last night to decide which to use for a quilt for mum. So now I might have to use them both up on 2 quilts

Massive well done on completing your target
Big brownie points to you and of course you had to celebrate by buying some more craft stash - that is my intention as well
Good luck on your next target. I can't wait to see what you've made and what the future bringsMortgage - £2338.07 paid off Feb 2023 BTL 1 £51,089.10 £35789.36 paid off July 2025 BTL 2 £81,504.52 BTL 3 £77,497.020 -
I've dug out my pom pom maker and have been making some pom pom. I started out thinking that I would just make a couple as bookmarks for stocking fillers for the kids but I'm having so much fun I think I might actually make some pom pom bunting for my craft room and maybe even some to sell on my craft stall
So far I have made 5 pom poms so that's further 5 things to add to my total
It also means I am using up some of the wool I have had sitting in my stash for ages (I can't even knit but they were such lovely colours I obviously couldn't resist them!!)
Keep stash busting everyoneMortgage - £2338.07 paid off Feb 2023 BTL 1 £51,089.10 £35789.36 paid off July 2025 BTL 2 £81,504.52 BTL 3 £77,497.020 -
1 more pom pom made

I have completed the bunting... (well I would like the two snowmen to have little button hats - but have none in my stash so they can wait).
I'm counting it as 5 toward my total as I made 5 flags and each one uses up more than one thing from my stash.
I'm gonna crack on with two cards for my SIL and sister as their birthdays are coming up.. then will have to think of some Christmas bottling up - cherry rum cherry brandy and damson vodka - which will need to wait until Christmas. I'll set the last of the sloe gin off and just leave it forever as we only managed to get 2lbs sloes this year...
I need to get some resin to make a table with - which I may have to ask Santa for as I can't start it until I have the resin in stock although may be worth waiting until after my birthday so it's a bit warmer.
I've got to crack on with the autumn bunting - although it's a little late now - but i want to get it done while I'm motivated.

Hiya,
I've just been reading this thread initially for a bit of inspiration, but I'm hooked!! And I wondered if I could join? I can make cake??
I have a craft room, that will be becoming a nursery soon, and I'm getting an even bigger craft room (I know-I'm so lucky!!) in the attic.
But...I have to wait for new window, decorating, and all manner of boring stuff first, so I feel like I've lost my mojo a bit.
I'm trying to make things for the little lady, as she's due in march, but can't get in my current craft room, and have a list of DIY jobs as long as my arm, so I'm looking for a bit of motivation and inspiration if that's ok?
I was thinking of a target of 20 'finish-ups' by Christmas? Not too overwhelming?'By all means let's be open minded, but not so open minded that our brains drop out.'0 -

Of course you can join us. It will be great to have you and congratulations on the baby bump. Is it your 1st? Im well jsaoous that your getting a bigger craft room. Since ive had kids I think my space has got smaller (or ive just got more stash!)
Please keep us updated on your progress. This thread is great for getting your mojo backMortgage - £2338.07 paid off Feb 2023 BTL 1 £51,089.10 £35789.36 paid off July 2025 BTL 2 £81,504.52 BTL 3 £77,497.020 -
I feel your pain with the DIY jobs - my dresser was waiting for years and after we moved it was in pieces for months before I got round to it...
I found focusing on one small DIY bit then one quick 'fun' project....
I have tonight completed my sisters birthday card - should do one for the SIL but meh...
I have strung a garland using a bag of pom poms - inspired by someone on here talking of them - mine are only shop bought ones I came across they're red white and green on a bit of red ribbon - would have liked to use butchers twin in red and white - but that wouldn't have been stash busting of me....
So that's 2 to add to the total.
7 down 13 to go...
