Hi all
Have not had much chance to do any stashbusting for the past few months but have been keeping up with the thread. All the makes are amazing and some of you are really cracking on with your totals.
I am looking to try and do some christmas cards (finally getting round to doing something) and I was wondering if you could help. I am looking for a christmas bauble punch (stampin up did one a few years ago and it seems to be discontinued). Do any of you more experienced card makers know where I could get one. I have trawled the internet but no success.
Thanks for your help0 -

Crafting mad that's wonderful thank you. I spent ages this morning looking for them for ages - well the clocks went back an hour so at least I did something productive with that hour lol. have ordered the cutting edge crafts one as it is exactly the thing I was looking for. ow to source some card stock - off to ebay I think!!0 -
Glad I could be of help Maisie - I love Cutting Edge crafts. They have super quick, free delivery and their customer service is amazing. Hope the punch is just what you want when you receive it
I manage to the extra hour to my advantage as well. I've made 12 snowman poop (tic tacs to you and I). It has managed to use up some sheets of cardstock, paper and raffia which I have had lying in my stash for ages
My total is slowly increasing but I'm going to have to work harder if I want to meet my target by the end of the year

Wow snowman poop that sounds good - in a bizarre sort of way lol.
Can I also be a pain and ask where you get cardstock from and what type you use ie gsm as there seems to be so many options. I am looking and making something like this

Can you tell I am brand new to this!!! I normally do cross stitch and buy pre-cut/plain cards for those. This is a whole new ball game, and I can see it will easily become addictive.

And I've added pics of Teddy Elsa and Wee Ted Emmet. I think Wee Ted reminds me of a Chippendale, or a member of YMCA, lol - he needs a jumper under his safety vest!Teddy Frozen Elsa front by r.doctor, on Flickr

Hope I'm not too late to join but I am setting myself a huge target as I want to use up supplies and also do a couple of stalls at local school fayres. My target is 500 items - yes huge I know but it will be all very simple and quick items. Started tonight and made 1 reindeer food just to try out a new way of packaging. Won't probably get on every night to report/show pictures but I will try my best. Wish me luck cos I think I am going to need it.If I had known then what I know now . . .

Hi Maisie,
Those cards look great and quite easy to make. Think some of them might be finding their way onto my to do list as well
I haven't bought cardstock for ages (as it is one of the things that looks so pretty in my craft room that I just used to keep buying it!)However although I have lots of cardstock my favourites have to be from The Papermill Shop, American Crafts and Crafters Companion pearl cardstock.
To make your cards you will need quite a heavy cardstock base such as 200gsm or over but the actual frame where the punch is being punched from you could probably get away with a 120gsm which would also make them a bit lighter if you were posting them.
Papermill sell a cardstock called buff which is a similar colour to that used in the video (maybe a little darker) but it is a lovely kraft (brownish) colour if it is any help.
Good luck with the making and I can't wait to see your versionsMortgage - £2338.07 paid off Feb 2023 BTL 1 £51,089.10 £35789.36 paid off July 2025 BTL 2 £81,504.52 BTL 3 £77,497.020 -

Wow - love them and no wonder the kids are looking so please:)
My kids are still on at me for matching outfits for the and their teddies but I don't think mine will be anywhere near as good as yours (and that's if I even get to start them!)Mortgage - £2338.07 paid off Feb 2023 BTL 1 £51,089.10 £35789.36 paid off July 2025 BTL 2 £81,504.52 BTL 3 £77,497.020 -

Hi Highland Lass,
Of course it's not too late to join. Welcome aboard
This board is a lovely place for crafters to hang out and will hopefully keep you on the straight stash busting path (although I can't guranatee because all the wonderful makes which keep getting posted keep tempting me to try other crafts and buy more things!!!)
Good luck with your target - it sounds like you've got a busy time ahead of you and what better than to stash bust and make some money back
Please keep us informed of your progress and post pics of your makes - I need all the inspiration I can get and quick makes are great with me as I have a hefty target figure tooMortgage - £2338.07 paid off Feb 2023 BTL 1 £51,089.10 £35789.36 paid off July 2025 BTL 2 £81,504.52 BTL 3 £77,497.020
