I don't buy much from John Lewis but have made a few purchases in the January sale - nothing more than £20 though so hardly a big spender!


My own theory (and I'm sure others will be able to report back based on what they received last time) is that possibly those that had the usual quantity of vouchers last time are only receiving the one this time and vice versa.


I know some people only received a money off voucher at Christmas so maybe there is some sort of rota to it?
I don't believe it's completely random as they go out in batches; seems to be that the first lot of vouchers that go out get all the vouchers next lot slightly less vouchers and the last lot one voucher only.

Sorry to throw your theory out the window but OH only received his 4 vouchers yesterday so I would guess not part of the first batch. He has only had drinks vouchers and even before xmas got one for oct nov and dec. So since I signed him up last year has had one for every month except January just gone.

I had an email mid last year for a £5 off voucher and later in the year while still getting monthly drinks vouchers. Before xmas I just got 2 longer dated vouchers one for a drink/one for drink or tote bag. And as I mentioned nothing this year yet, and postman has been today.

My friend that lives local has only had one voucher this time round for her and her OH. Seems totally random to me.

:easter_I decided to email John Lewis yesterday as I had not got any vouchers despite buying at Christmas. Hey ho, today's post brought 2 vouchers, 1 for regular size hot drink and cake valid 12 Feb - 02 March and 2nd for either hot drink and cake (valid 03 March - 28 May) or my John Lewis chocolate eggs, valid 03 March - 04 April. Chocolate eggs available while stocks last.
Obviously a coincidence with my email as could not have posted out so quickly.

My Mum & myself signed up at the same time and both always seem to get the same allocation of vouchers.

First time 6 vouchers
Second time 3 or 4 I think
This time just the one.

It's interesting, can't believe that it's all totally random but good to hear others experiences.

Just to confuse things a little further, another voucher (hot drink and cake) arrived today to be used in April - as an addition to the earlier ones.

Just for me so far - yet to see if the other 3 family members also get one.

I also got another today, so just the one from the previous lot and another as an Easter treat now - didn't get the Easter Egg offering though but suits me as would rather have tea and cake anyway.

Month back for cake then another one in Easter mail out. I want choc egg. Are they big.
