Booo........... Hope I'm getting more than that!!
Well, if my spending is anything to go by (a great deal of my Christmas gifts came from John Lewis and in addition to needing to use the store for the haberdashery department due to studying a course nearby) I don't want to add up how much I spent (I didn't really have the money in the first place but managed to find good deals/price checks!) It was a significant amount, prior to this I'd bought a DAB radio and an ironing board and quite a few other things all within a short space of time.

OK I used vouchers given as gifts for some but I did spend a fair amount-so I'm not so sure it's anything more than luck of the draw. Guess I'll be able to see for next time though as I've no reason to visit the store over the next few months and will see if I'm still on their voucher list in 6 months time.

I've never bought anything - got some vouchers early last year but I wasn't able to use them as I was going on holiday that month and have not received any since.

Seems it's pot luck. If I had been sent any more it might have tempted me to visit. Unfortunately I don't live near one so I'd have to make a special trip and a drink and cake would be most welcome when I got there. There is a new John Lewis being built (due Sept 15) which will be just a train ride away, so that will be most welcome.

    Spoke too soon.

Went to check my post later and there was a voucher! I think it's time I visited now.

  • Applied for a card the other day and received it today with vouchers for free hot drink & cake 3 March- 4 April & 1 May-29 May :) Worth applying for as I've never had one before so haven't made any purchases with them yet & still got the vouchers.

My husband's vouchers arrived this morning.

He's spent about £60 since the last set of vouchers and has been rewarded with

£5 gift voucher when £50 is spent. Valid 6 Feb to 27 Mar
Hot drink and cake valid 1 Apr to 29 May.

I spent £200 since the last vouchers

    So far I've received nothing!

  • How are they doing this 'spend £50 thing'? Do you have to produce a receipt along with your voucher? I guess you could always buy something and take it back, not that I'd do that ;)

I've had one of those before - you have to activate your voucher online beforehand, have your card swiped when you make your purchase and then the £5 voucher arrives in the post.

I don't think the card would be swiped when making a return so your cunning plan should work.
