I applied for a card on Thursday 1st May, does anyone know when I should receive it?0

I haven't received my vouchers yet either. I called John Lewis last week and was told to wait until today to see if they arrive which they didn't. So I called again today and was told by a very argumentative John Lewis rep. that they will re-issue them to me but can take up to 2-3 weeks to arrive. By this time May will be over! They also told me that the didn't send the original vouchers out until the last week in April, expecting them to be with their customers by the first week in May. Considering the vouchers are valid from 1st May that's pretty poor administration.
I realise these are freebies but if John Lewis are issuing these as a customer relations exercise then it's not working! I get free drinks vouchers through Marks and Spencer Premium Club and they always send out their vouchers well ahead of time. John Lewis - read this and learn!0 -

emailed them again today0 -

... as part of the reward for paying them £180/year.0 -
Hi again,
So finally emailed JL and got a lovely swift reply stating my vouchers had been dispatched at end of April and apologising that I had not received them - not JL's fault of course - they could be anywhere!!
A replacement set has been ordered and should arrive in the next couple of weeks so guess I may be on an enforced "diet" for May!0 -
M&S premium can't be compared to the JL scheme. You are paying for the M&S vouchers by a fee. The vouchers from JL are free. If you are buying something then when you swipe your card that puts you into a prize draw, that's the only time you have to spend money with the card but you don't have to keep buying things to keep the card activated if you don't want to.
I got 3 months of vouchers this time in comparison to the 6 months last time so I'm presuming they are maybe going to change the hot drink and cake to some other incentive in the future.0 -
I literally can't believe some of you are carrying on like this over a free cake and coffee offer, you seem to think you are owed this and JL Have the worst CS because you haven't received your Free vouchers, you should be ashamed of yourselfs, some of you, how disgusting.Lose 28lb 3/28lb

I have to agree with you, makes me feel sorry for JL staff. That said, I'm guilty of it too, found myself getting miffed about not being able to redeem the 45p Starburst voucher a few days ago and had to give myself a serious talking to as it is clearly ridiculous to get this worked up over a freebie to which precisely none of us have any entitlement :rotfl:0 -
Please can we all calm down!
If something is promised then it should be delivered in a timely fashion. Similarly, there are ways of complaining - preferably politely.
