Received three vouchers today. Have spent over £150 in-store!
I can't complain - I bought a sale item and an ex-display item which I would have purchased anyway. Just thought there would be some extra perk for using one's MJL card.
Just used my April voucher and tried a Luxury Hot Chocolate for the first time - yummy, but a bit too much with the Millionaires shortbread. I think I've overindulged...:(Free thinker.:cool:0 -

You should have wrapped the shortbread up and taken it home0 -

As you say I hope they don't scrap them because of a minority misusing them.
I don't agree with people re-selling them on e-bay but I also don't agree with people just getting and using them with no intention of buying anything from JL.
The idea is that the vouchers are a reward for JL customers. So both camps could be classed as misusing them but the later camp seem to be getting a pass by the forum board.0 -

Yes, I have half of the shortbread wrapped in a napkin in my bag, but half was enough with the LHC...;)Free thinker.:cool:0 -

I think the general ethos is money saving so I have no problem with people not spending anything as some do with myWaitrose card freebies. Selling via eBay is money making rather than money saving and pehaps questionable, but if people aren't going to use them they may as well get some other benefit. However, I think giving them to a charity, or BIg Issue seller (if they could use them) would have been preferable.Free thinker.:cool:0 -

In which case they would give the vouchers out only after a purchase had been made - such handing them out at the till for example. They want people to come into their stores, and this entices them to do so. I suspect that many people who do go in, do make a purchase - more than enough to compensate for those who don't.
Let's face it, JL are no fools. They must be getting something out of it, otherwise they wouldn't do it.0 -
