    Evening all

Ironing all done, bedding nearly dry enough to make the bed. Just need to stay awake for an hour and 15 to get DS2 from work.

Evening, am shattered! Had DD's birthday meal at an Italian in town. All her friends were very well behaved which was lovely.
We have the party tomorrow afternoon so DH and I have some work to do in the morning. We have to get THE BED up into the loft (seller rang me last night and is desperately trying to get hold of ikea to get the replacement bits). We also have to get the two rolls of carpet upstairs and out of the way. Then I need to get cracking and whip up a delightful feast for the masses.
We're dropping her friend home at 11am so I'll go shopping after that.

Poor DS has had such a rotten week - about 6.30 he started complaining of an earache which got worse and worse resulting in me calling 101 only to be told I'll have to take him to the pharmacy at 9.00 tomorrow am :(. Been lying on his bed with him trying to soothe him; Calpol has kicked in. He told me at 8 or so he felt sick and now 15 minutes ago he's just been very sick; hope he'll feel better now he's been sick - earache seems to have stopped thankfully.

Going to have a hot chocolate and go to bed as cream crackered now ... goodnight all x

Mumof2 I hope DS makes a speedy recovery, I am sure I read somewhere that ears are one of the hardest areas to treat with anti biotics/pain killers.
I have been very lazy and done nothing.

    Well done pigpen!

I had a list of things I was supposed to do this week (read meters, check car over, finish tidying garage, put a couple of old baby garden toys on Freegle, start making a few Xmas presents etc etc)

I did at least order a B I K E for DS. I can collect it in my lunch break on Monday. And I did manage to get birthday presents for some parties on the horizon.

We are visiting inlaws later this morning for a few hours but I can do the Freegle and car stuff first. And maybe read the meters.

Thankfully the house hasn't suffered too much with my defection this week, and have been refilling DW and WM often so we are not too behind. So I'll be back to normal service on Monday!

Morning all. Hope everyone is ok. Regular flying has taken a back seat here this week. I only cleaned properly the downstairs toilet, but DH (and me) have been busy with our challenge....da da da...

I can now report that DD's room is redecorated, new flooring is laid and the only thing outstanding is actually finding some bedding, curtains and a light fitting that she likes.

We also touched up the paintwork in the hall where OldDog rubs against the walls, and DH also painted the gym/hobby room.

    Today's list:

    Clean fridge
    Menu plan
    Local shop
    Walk dogs
    Hoover through house
    Go to football

Am just on here while DD's hair dye does its stuff then I'll give her a hand rinsing.

    Have a great day everyone.

Good to see you back, Bossy.
    Coping vibes to LW.
Welcome to all newbies and returnees.
Hope your mum's move is going OK, CY.
Thanks, Mrs_mp: no rain here for the past two nights (just frost brrr!) and no more tapping on window, so I have slept better.
    Coping (hugs)) for Dusty x

I have tried to keep up with the thread but my PC is now unable to access the internet (congested with plaster dust) and I find one-finger typing on the Kindle very hard. Decorating is progressing: painter is finishing off HSL today while I emulsion the lounge. And DH? He has gone to the model railway show at the NEC and I had to get up early to get him to the station by 06:45 ... he now owes me a treat!!!!

Have a good day, all x
