£7.70 rising to £9.20 isn't a wage to be sniffed at, its a very good wage.

The extra 5p is better than other employers.

A cannot disagree but taking other factors in to consideration ate these wage level i could understand that Aldi workers would be looking for better employment opportunities.

i spoke on the telephone with Aldi customer service manager and he had to admit that according to the Aldi website the in store signs and the letter he posted to me VISA is not on the Aldi accept only list.

The fact that it may have worked in their card terminals is neither here nor there.I is NOT on the Aldi Accept only list.

For the love of god Visa Debit cards work in Aldi.
    From Aldi's website:

For whatever reason, Aldi has chosen to use the now defunct names of debit cards: Maestro and Solo = Mastercard; Delta and Electron = Visa.

As nobody in the UK has any more a Debit Card branded with one of the four logos, taking your argument to it's conclusions, we can say:

Aldi does not accept any Debit Cards currently issued in the UK.

Thankyou for that, tried to explain it.

And the thread continues, when will it end is anyones guess.

Maybe we should contact Ladbrokes and place a bet when it wil end.

Also would an Aldi worker on these wages more likely need the use of a pay day loan or a credit card ?.

Sadly if they were based at an Aldi store in England they would be unable to use the Credit Card at the actual Aldi store except for Berwick Upon Tweed

Since you are the font of all knowledge, what are these exciting opportunities that the Aldi workers should be aspiring to - brain surgeon perhaps or nuclear physacist?

Thank you for pointing this out to me

Do you accept Diners Club cards ?

I asked you about £7.70 per hour because it has been part of the discussion on the forum.

You trade a country shows ?
do you sell high ticket goods ?
and you shop at Aldi ? well done

Your demographic is different to mine

yes we will accept Diners Club Cards. I sell toys from 50p pocket money toys to £200 bikes.

Why should i not shop at Aldi? They have products i like, why should i pay premium prices just because of the branding.

Do you have a sign on your door and at the tills (and also on your website) stating what payment methods you do and don't accept and if not don't you think that you should so that your customers don't get confused.:D

Online they do but your credit card company will treat it as cash advance rather that a purchase. e.g. no interest free period.
