I'd be more embarassed to be seen buying groceries with a creditcard than I would be having it refused at Aldi mind you. I've always felt only the fec kless use creditcards for groceries.
Have to be honest I always use my credit card. It means I earn interest on my wages and as long as you clear the balance off each month you also get points and freebies.
You would be amazed how they add up.Happiness, Health and Wealth in that order please!:A0 -
Think that we have to remember that paying by credit cards will cost the company taking the payment. This can be anything from a small percentage right the way up depending upon the amount of transactions they process and the total spend.
It you want Aldi to accept credit cards you have to be prepared for them to increase costs to absorb the charges.Happiness, Health and Wealth in that order please!:A0 -

I don't think he even wants that - he is just jealous that the customers in Berwick-Upon-Tweed are able to pay by credit card when he can't. So like a little child having a sulk, he wants Aldi to stop taking credit cards there as well.0 -

I mentioned that earlier but maybe it hadn't sunk in.
Im still struggling to understand the issue, yes they dont take credit cards but so what, just use cash, does the OP not have a debit card to use.
The OP must be on a wind up.0 -
This thread will never die until people stop feeding the OP. The OP obviously has nothing else to do with their time.0

Forgot to say - I went to my local Aldi at the weekend and they wouldn't let me pay with my £10 notes.
Update on this - went to the local Aldi to do a top-up shop after work and they still wouldn't accept my £10 notes. There is also no sign either on the door or at the till saying that they won't accept £10 notes.
Questions for the OP - did you have any problems paying with £10 notes in the Aldi branches that you went to? Were there any signs in those stores either saying they would or wouldn't take £10 notes?0
