My Practice Manager intends to write to them, but we don't know who the local depot is as we are unable to get any information. Also, I paid the postage fee, so am I not therefore the customer? I have contacted the seller because I thought he should be warned not to use Hermes again, but he hasn't heard anything from them either!!

All this time spent, couldn't the person on reception simply sign whilst speaking on the phone?
You know the one with hearing difficulties on the phone

I kept my conversation with him in private messaging, so it has been kept quiet. I'm actually not stupid!

Erm, is there any need for this comment? If I do have a moan, it's always valid to me, and in this instance it's valid.

Bit like yourself when given helpful advice?

No, she was sat behind a half window, and so would have to stand up to sign for the parcel. Plus she's partially sighted, and needs to hold things very close to her face to see them (and yes, before anyone comments on that, she has special large text software on her computer!).

You could always book a 'collection' on the Hermes website, confront the driver when he gets to the practice then cancel the collection & get a refund (and yes Hermes do give refunds on failed collections).

But don't be surprised if the driver flips out :)

And knowing my luck, I'd get in trouble for not behaving in a professional way, whilst at work :rotfl: it is a good idea though!

What is that supposed to mean? Are you really insinuating that people with hearing difficulties can't use phones, modified or otherwise? Or that the OP is lying about that part?

Whilst not condoning the conduct of the delivery driver , I think you are protesting too much, if your colleague was sitting behind a half window there was very little chance she would be hit on the head with the parcel.
Time to move on ,dwelling on the matter will cause you more upset, than it will the driver.

So thats why we have to wait for hours in the local surgeries, the staff are all chasing up complaints they make about insignificant things.

That's right, because we're all either chasing up "insignificant" complaints about someone being violent & aggressive towards us, and when we're not doing that we're doing our online shopping, bidding on EBay &.booking next year's holiday!

FYI, I sent one email from work, just after the "insignificant" event, which took me about 5 minutes because I can only type at around 120 wpm, on a good day when the wind is blowing in a northerly direction. As I'm part time, the
rest of my chasing has taken part in my own time. I do hope that's acceptable?
