Chances of you getting an apology from the driver are about zero, although I expect they will ensure the same one is not sent to you again.

You have every right to complain, but you need to be realistic as to what you want the outcome to be. I fear that in this case, you are wasting your time.

Oh I am being realistic, as from what I've read on the net about this company, their customer service seems to be somewhat shoddy, so I don't expect much in all honesty, except for an apology for an action that was completely and utterly out of order and could well have resulted in an injury to my poor colleague. This driver is representing the company, and even though they must be aware that their service isn't brilliant, aggressive and violent behaviour surely cannot be tolerated, in any circumstance.

    From their website T&C's

"To contact us please click here or write to us at Hermes, Capitol House, 1 Capitol Close, Morley, Leeds, LS27 OWH or email us at
    hermessupport@myhermes.co.uk."

I did email them on the above email address, and didn't receive their promised 'response within 24 hours', so I doubt writing to them will have much effect, but it's still worth a try I guess. Thank you.

I would let it go. You've complained several times, you're obviously never going to use them again and any apology is only going to be insincere.

I wouldn't waste too much more time on this if I was you.

At the end of the day it was an unpleasant incident but nobody was harmed.

I'm a bit like a dog with a bone when there's a clear injustice I'm afraid, and I feel particularly strongly about this because this man showed total disrespect for my colleague and, much less importantly, for my parcel. She is a lady who struggles with hearing and sight, and even though I appreciate he wasn't to know that, his actions were aggressive and violent and he should face the consequences of that. If I behaved like that towards a patient I would be dismissed instantly, and made to apologise, which I would expect and accept. It's just not on, and upset my colleague for the rest of the day.

Is a driver being rude a clear injustice? I accept it's unpleasant and you have rightly complained. I just don't see the point of repeatedly complaining about the same incident.

They should have replied in 24 hours but I can only assume they are investigating the story with the driver and can't provide an instant update within that time frame.

Still it's a bad show on their part.

I've discovered a Hermes FB page, and am currently in a chat with an advisor, who has just asked for my home telephone number. I will update you all soon.

I would be careful about posting things like that on the internet as it's obvious who you are.

It depends whether you want people to link your MSE posts to who you are. It's also obvious which medical practice you are talking about.

Personally I like to keep things like this private.

I kept my conversation with him in private messaging, so it has been kept quiet. I'm actually not stupid!

Erm, is there any need for this comment? If I do have a moan, it's always valid to me, and in this instance it's valid.
