  • Pips - I have been meaning to ask - how is wik? Well, I am hoping. Hope all the discombobulation over work is sorting itself out - although I can't imagine it is happening fast nor smoothly, these things never do.

Dear Greying how lovely of you to ask.

I think that (from what I hear) she's coping well and working out undiscombobulation plan of action. She's a fighter that one and far tougher than she looks but shhh don't say, she's had assertiveness training and quite frankly she's quite good at it and sometimes a bit scary with it :D!

One of the most amazing co-incidences (and it really IS one) is that she will be a mere 1/2 hour drive from me on Friday taking one of her brood up for a uni visit/interview type thing in Rock City whilst I'm doing a similar thing elsewhere in Lino-Land.

So, we've asked very nicely if she can have an overnight hall pass to see us at TRG pad. Now won't that just be fabulous if it comes off? TRG is agreeable as long as there's no 'nonsense' - pftt life without nonsense where's the point?!

Fingers crossed. I'm rather hopeful for once we don't both get put on the naughty step and miss each other.

(We've alot of 'previous' for the naughty step:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: but don't worry never online only in RL :D)

    :A

PS she does actively lurk about the boards so I'm sure she might pop in soon as her lugs will be glowing. But she'll be chuffed you asked so thank you.

Hi Greying.... Well I am doing ok...Thank you for thinking of me xxxxx

I have a couple of job options so far within the trust I work for - So I am finding out info and also doing some mega swatting, as well as trying to get some uni work done - I have 2 big essays that are worth 70% and 60% of my final marks for the course to be done by May... So have been working out what subject to do :)

I am being very positive.. As I said to Mrs McB... Work has invested a lot of time and money into training me over the last 5 years and I am a valuable asset!

I was talking to a senior member of staff last week, and she passed on a statistic to me! Currently 60% of all healthcare in England is delivered to patients by healthcare assistants of Band 4 and under...

Ohhh and changing subject... Me and Monster No. 2 have been given a hall pass to visit a certain person on Friday night ;)

Yay you are an asset never forget that!

Now - just wondering and I know that this sounds daft if I can put that wee quilting sewing machine in my suitcase........

I have a 20kg allowance and its not that heavy.

Ponders I'll not need much clobber aside suit/not-the-suit for a couple days so wonder what else I can fit in there too -- maybe all those 'summer clothes' which I've not worn in a number of years.....

    :)

Well I do try and combine things :)

And with that in mind, I'm off to combine my bed and that lovely book......

    Sweet dreams chaps!

    Greying

    Morning GP! Waves hello.

You mean not everyone plans how to take a sewing machine on an airplane enroute to an interview?

:D Mind you on our flights I'd not be surprised given the unusual things that folks DO take on the plane.

    Morning lands

Slop on hair - needs a few washes before it settles.

Must get on and make a list up a bit later today (read Ms Munroe's book til late)

    Its a good un - :D

DD's off with a box of pasta and 'lettuce' sauce for lunch - say nothing.

She quite liked the look of the book too - so that's encouraging eh?

Need to make a plan for today and then off to get tyres at the garage in town enroute.

    Coffee and lists.

I'm glad to see Wik too - and oh wow, TRG is going to have his hands full now he's given out that hall pass :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I'm not surprised about the sewing machine on the hairyplane, Pippi - I remember when I was on that BA flight in the Shetlands, the one that lands on the beach I think, for the locals it was just a bus, there was shopping, and all sorts of funny shapes of parcels, and quite a few had NHS passes, returning from the local hospital, it looks like a lifeline.

    Coffee :coffee:

For some reason, this has always stuck with me as something you do, and whenever I buy a bottle of milk (for builder, sister, whoever) I think of you :rotfl:

If they X ray your suitcase, they're going to open it up, you know that, don't you :rotfl: once they find you're not a bomber, they *will* smile, I promise - they did on Eurostar for me, anyway :rotfl:

    Have a good one :j
